Possibly you are looking for the Traditional Anglican Communion, a group of so-called Continuing Anglican jurisdictions.

GKC
Thanks.

I googled Traditional Anglican Communion. Read the May 10 news article. How the Catholics in SAustralia have basically shunned them. Ango-Catholcism is dead in Austraila the story says. The evangelical Anglicans now seem to be the dominant counterpoint to the liberal Anglicans in Australia.

I think this is what will happen in England. Catholics bishops and the Catholic bueracracy seem not at all open to embrace a relatively large conversion of Anglican which would bring in more - heaven forefend - orthodox Christians to the fold. .

The TAC has appealed to Rome but nothing. L:ike if now is not the time. it all seems quite troubling. But you may have a different perspective.

IMO this is a golden opporunity for the Orthodox to establich an Anglican Orthodox church.

It will be telling to see how this all plays out.

***Being open-minded is the ability to look at different ways a job can be accomplished and not stuck in the same spot. Being open-minded is being able to accept that “gee maybe things aren’t carved in stone” - with respect to women priests, if they existed and you didn’t like it, don’t go to one but let those who would embrace and accept them do so without being call heretical! ***
Perhaps the “Comic Sans” blue oversized font bespeaks of the “underlying motivation” of the poster? 🙂

An actual understanding of your (supposedly professed) religion would go a long way toward clearing up what it is you obviously simply don’t understand as to why Mothers are not Fathers and Fathers are not Mothers.

If you still reject the Church as the Church, then your rejection of Her, and by inference God, will be paid by you at the appropriate time, won’t it?

After all, you do believe that to reject the Church is to reject God, and rejecting God sends you “away from God” when the time comes for your final destination, don’t you?

Yeah, heresy is always a good one to throw at someone who has an open mind when it comes to the Church. Isn’t that what happened to Martin Luther? Keep treating people that way and the Church will be very, very small indeed!
You over rate the feminist movement. As I’ve said so many times, if the Vatican were ever to allow Bishops to attempt ordaining women, my wife and I have already settled the matter to go to Orthodoxy. That would be a sure sign of a heretical Church to us. You must not understand why peole like us reject women attempting to become deacons, priests and bishops. this isn’t a secular political office you know. Many heresies have haunted the Church throughout its history. This is just another drop in the bucket. PAX

Now now… that’s carrying it a little too far don’t you think? Culpability is at work too.

I’m actually, and rather charitably, assuming that Katz is NOT culpable due to lack of education of her/his religion.

My warning is that once it’s pointed out that some learning needs to happen, that if she/he doesn’t get that learning, and then doesn’t apply that learning, instead holding to incorrect belief, that there are in fact rather dire consequences.

We are to warn those who need warning of impending danger, are we not?

Don’t be too hard on her. St. Therese also wanted to be priest but she ended up being something much more.

There are many many women saints in the Church, some of them Doctors of the Church. And what about our Blessed Mother? Why not focus on becoming a saint instead of a priest?

There are many prominent roles for women in the Church. Saints are much higher than parish priests, think about that. If you take this into consideration, women play a more prominent role in Catholicism than any other Christian denomination.

You ought to tune into EWTN on “The Great Heresis”. Fr. Connor defines it much clearer than I’v ever seen. I’ll have to watch it again when I’m not so tired. I’m not getting on you. I understand what you’re doing. And I’m teasing Katzzzz a bit too.

I almost said that mental stability might have something to do with it. Not that that’s Katzzzz’s problem. But that is is possible. And not knowing each person fully like God does we have to continue to be careful how charitable we are. But that does not mean not to correct. I’m just reminding US, not you, that we need to keep that in mind.

Some time within the past year a priest warned me not to argue with my aunt who rejects all Tradition and Church Authority. At the same time she claims to be more Catholic than most… I truly thought that she had left Catholicisim for a fundamentalist church, Assemblies of God. She ended up rebuking me, even though I was correct. But the fact that the older priest discouraged me from even talking to her about it really disturbed me. This priest has recently been selected to be elevated to monsignior. I like him, but I question the wisdom of allowing people to decieve others. So now I try to say what I can, but have no idea how to be gentle or harsh. When do you step over the line?

This situation with the Church of England is typical of what’s happening world wide. It’s sort of like abortion. The church would never allow it because it goes against Church teaching. That’s why it just can’t happen. People like Katzzzz just don’t really get it. But they will continue to push their agenda as if you can wear down an organization like on a picket line. It’s not like that on this issue. If you wanted a different color of paint on the wall, that might work. But we’re talking about church Teaching/Tradition, not tradition but rather Sacred Tradition to say the least…

Similar to a person who’s going down a trench to do work without taking any form of underground safety training or didn’t bother to read any. He doesn’t know how he can get buried in there until it’s too late. Stubborness is another thing, though…:banghead:

The Catholic teachings are there to guide us. They’re God inspired!
Foolproof. Let us, Catholics, learn them well.

In regards to women being clergy,
Was Jesus (PBWH) presented in a temple?
Was a priestess there?

Well, I’ve suggested to my Catholic friends that the Vatican should authorize two rites of baptism- one for men and one for women.

I say this because, obviously, women are not made equal to men in Christ through Roman Catholic baptism.
