Opposing the effort to accommodate homosexual activity (and not just orientation) with Scripture and Divine law being ipso facto “hate,” right?

Let’s not steer the discussion in that direction. We all know that some people don’t give a fig for Divine Law or Scripture, hatred is their main motive, be the target Catholic, Muslim, gay, or Arab.

I was responding to the labeling of LifeSite, in particular. The bulk of their effort is combating abortion. They also oppose the normalization of homosexual intercourse in Catholic teaching. I fervently agree with both those positions.

No. There are plenty of media sources who discuss the topics you listed without sensationalism or snark. The sites Iisted are just for self-righteous pearl clutching or an invitation to violence.
 
I’ve never heard of this website except here on the forums, and I prefer to check for myself the veracity and reliability of news sites. I’m very selective about the media I consume.

Well, please do keep the forum posted. I’ll do the same. Though considering the well-documented apostasy, I’m inclined to believe the blasphemy is real. I’m just logical that way. 🤷‍♂️
 
Too often I’ve found their articles lacking. There were a few (not abortion or gay related) and I couldn’t verify with an unbiased source (other sources were quoting LifeSite) or the source in the article admitted they had not done their homework which was obvious by the statements made. If I have time I’ll look for them and if I find them I’ll take screen shots, because debunked articles sometimes disappear (not specifically LifeSite, they don’t seem to care what they leave out there )

Lifesite is not a respected source in general. Can anyone direct @prayerrider to better prolife news sources?
 
I’ve downloaded the brochure but it’s a bit too much for my burgeoning Swedish. It might take me a few months. I’m up for it though. Can we keep this thread running for a while? Oh, no! Is the 5-year thread still going?
 
It’s interesting that they are specifically targeting kids. I’m at a loss for words. 😟
 
It’s classic strategy–indoctrinate youth, as young as possible.
The Catholic Church has certainly done it, for centuries, but with the goals of instilling virtue and the doctrine of Christ. When the devil is behind it, then of course the indoctrination has the opposite purpose and goal. Everything he wants is counterfeit. Interesting that he can’t create, yes? Only counterfeit.

Yes, fairly. I find Swedish is harder than Norwegian and Icelandic which have a Danish root (whereas Swedish share the same root as Danish). Swedish sounds completely different from Danish when spoken, but reading should be easy enough. 😉
 
I should probably also point out that understatement is part of the Danish culture. 😂
 
Nyadagladet is an organ of the (now defunct) extreme untra-far-right National Democratic party of Sweden, essentially neo-Nazis and neo-Fascists. It’s even less reliable than the other sources.

Chances are that they just made this up to rile up their base.

I don’t know whether this particular report is genuine or not but I have the same take away as yourself.
 
This is Svenska Kyrkan. Dont look so surprised!
We have already seen the Ecce Homo so this is nothing new.
And I tell you: not all people active in Svenska Kyrkan accepts this as good.
 
The fact that the Church of Sweden is shrinking is not necessarily evidence it is doing a bad job. In a secularized culture, other factors are at work besides the Church.

In this case, of course I do think the Church is bad. If Pope Benedict had been able to serve a few years longer I bet there would be a Lutheran Ordinariate today. I pray the next pope will form one.
