From Tampa Bay’s Channel 10:
A sheriff’s report says a group of teens hanging out at a gazebo near the church had found the live microphone used during the first part of the [Palm Sunday] service. A group of men from the church went outside and chased the boys before deputies arrived.

As I posted over there. It is too bad that they didn’t invite the boys into mass. It might have saved some souls.

I’m not sure my post ever appeared though I posted it twice.

During my first full time pastorate as a Methodist I noted with great dismay that several of our windows were being shot out. At one time there was 14 window panes shot out before we could get them replaced. I tried to keep watch over the building but I couldn’t catch anyone. One evening a group of young people were congregated on our front steps. So I went over and had a friendly talk with them. I told them that I was glad that they were enjoying themselves on the Church’s front steps and welcomed them. I then asked for their help. I told them that someone was shooting out our windows and was making it difficult for the Church financially. I said, “Could you help us out by keeping an eye out for anyone who might be doing this terrible thing?” They all promised their help.

We never lost another window.

There are many ways to get a proper result to a problem.

It was a Baptist Church so there was no mass. I support what the men did and would do it myself.

Ya, the picture was misleading, but you should read the article. It clearly says, Mass, St. James Catholic, and Fr. something; clearly it indicates it was at a Catholic church. But, that picture was kinda weird, it threw me off, its not even relavant to the article.

My apologies. But I still stand by what the men did and I would do it myself if I was there.
