Church strike for women's ordination

So their idea to shed light on the obviously “Catholic” teaching that women can be ordained is to refuse to go to Mass, which is we participate in Christ’s sacrifice and literally the most important and sacred prayer of the entire Church.

Yeah. That sounds “Catholic” to me.
 
terrible…as the situation of the Church in German countries for a long time ago (I would said since the Reformation).

The german Church is wealthy and women plays a grea role in Her. One key to understand the frustration of some…

Sometimes i am frighten with the idea of another schism… Maybe why this bishop offer “support” for the strike.
 
I think the idea that anyone, men or women, wants more power in office is contrary to their call of Holy Orders.

A person called to Holy Orders should be a person who wants to serve, not to dominate. Religious sisters can do as much, and sometimes even more, than priests.
 
A bishop supports this…openly.
The German Church depends on the Church tax. As such, it is incredibly wealthy. Yet as membership drops, tax income drops. As I understand it, Germany bishops receive a 6 figure salary…

That’s the most baffling part of this story to me. Bishop +Bode needs to think long and hard about what he’s putting his name to and I hope the people of his diocese hold his feet to the fire.
 
From the article in the OP, a vicar general actually says the following:
Whether women can be ordained to the priesthood is an open question, Hardt asserted, saying, "on the one hand we have a definitive decision by Pope John Paul II on the question of the ordination of women and on the other hand we still do not have a final answer.

Ummm, a “definitive decision” is literally “a final answer.” That’s what it literally means. 😵

These women are power hungry heretics. Or maybe they don’t know any better. But a heretical bishop? Completely inexcusable.

Well! A protest of mass is a surefire sign that these folks have completely lost sight of why they Catholic at all.
 
I am not sure that a strike is the way to go, but I do believe that women should be allowed to become priests.
We all are God’s children and all of us who feel the call, should be allowed to serve in that capacity.
 
If women really want ordained they can join one of the thousands of Protestant sects that allow it.

This is incrementalism trying to destroy the Church. The scary part is now that they are emboldened by modernism the increments are more like giant leaps.

I came to post the same quote from the article and say the same thing. 😝

On the one hand, here’s the final answer. But on the other hand, we have no final answer. 😄
 
We might see married priests one day in the Catholic Church. But there is zero chance we’ll ever see women priests accepted in the church.

Priests? Sure. The Anglican Church has openings. But Catholic priests? No. And this didn’t come from ‘mere men’, it came from God Himself (and seriously, the picture of Jesus, the Father, and Holy Spirit sitting around a table in Heaven saying, “Well you know, the culture just won’t stand for women priests, but don’t worry, in 2000 years they’ll be ready” boggles the mind. . .yep, the culture of the Gentiles who already had priestesses just couldn’t possibly accept women in Christianity, right, but hey, eating flesh and drinking blood was A-OK!)
