Mass run by a female priest would not be valid and I would not attend for obvious reasons.
 
If the German church cared about actually having people go to mass, they would already be doing things a lot different.

Oh no… 50 people will be at mass in a 500 year old cathedral capable of serving several hundred or thousand instead of 55… what a shame.

Why is it that the term priestess isn’t used but the more cumbersome term female/woman priest is?
 
If God chose to, sure. But He didn’t. He said no. We have to accept it with holy obedience.

That is true, but that does not mean that God gave the Church the authority to do it.

God could change the Moon into green cheese, but God never gave the Pope the power to do that.

Likewise, God never gave the Church the power to Ordain a woman into a priest.
 
God can do anything. If God wants women to be priests, he will arrange for it to happen.
 
Pope John Paul II has spoken and his decision is to be definitively held by all the faithful.
 
He hasn’t for quite some time.

Not just possible but absolutely ‘true’. Women priests are impossible.

Again, there are posters who just fail to grasp that the word ‘impossible’ does not mean ‘stuff that is illogical, crazy, or unreal’; it means something that normally could not happen ‘of itself’ but which God could allow to happen.

It is impossible for a dead person to rise from the dead, because normally once the body starts to decay, it cannot reverse the process. But God can reverse that process because earlier ‘in time’, that person who is now dead was once living. It is not something ‘illogical’, it is like healing a natural process.

But God would not, for example, take your beloved kitty cat and turn it into a person. Taking an animal and making it ‘human’ is not a logical process. . .animals never ‘turn into’ people and people likewise do not ‘turn into’ animals. So saying that it is not possible for God to make a kitty cat human is not ‘limiting’ God, it is acknowledging that God Himself is pure justice, reason, and power.

A petty tyrant does something crazy because ‘nobody can stop him’.
God is not a petty tyrant. God does not do crazy things.

God does the impossible which is truly impossible, not the ‘impossible’ which is itself crazy, untrue, and malevolent.
