Then correct me if I’m wrong, you’re saying the Church is in error. And if she is wrong about this, then what else? SSM, abortion, divorce, contraception, sex between unmarried couples, having babies outside marriage? And what about doctrinal beliefs, like Mary for instance, can she be in error here as well? Where does it end? Pick and choose Catholicism I guess. No, the Church is 110% right about this as she always is! I trust her with my life as all Catholics should. It shouldn’t be any more difficult than that. But as I said in the other post, Catholic polls show that this is not the case. In fact they show the opposite, that Catholics who adhere to Church teachings are becoming more and more the minority! And that my friend is very sad indeed. 😦

Peace, Mark

You should read more carefully. It’s about what is best for the children. There are many abandoned children out there the DESPERATELY need homes. Bouncing them around from foster homes to orphanages really screws them up. Anyone that has the slightest clue on raising a child knows that stability is a must. Many people are so obsessed that a child may end of in a family with two fathers/mothers that they could care less that the children become collateral damage.

Allowing children to become collateral damage leads exactly to such things, and many people in this thread fail to see this.

The answer to a bad situation is not another bad situation. Your position is the usual default position of those who do not view “gay” unions as the evil ideology they really are. It is not anything a poor child should be exposed to.

You know, until I started reading this forum, I thought the term “homophobic” was a misnomer.

keep reading…there are dozens of the threads on the subject……what’s the name of that famous perfume? oh, yeah :doh2: “Obsession”.

What is going to be gathered by reading further?

Did you know that coughing can be suppresed best by codiene by prescription, Dextramethorpin over the counter, you can use some tea/brandy…get it checked.

Obsession is pretty good but expensive. They make one for men and it does not matter if you are a man, man with same sex attraction or a man that participates in deviant homosexual behavior…you can still buy and use it.

It is an obsession with the “gay” apologists and their supporters. They will not stop until they force their perverse ideology on everyone. But hey when one views error as truth anything goes.

I agree this will probably happen, although gay tolerance and racial tolerance have very little to do with each other. Black people sexually skewed (well maybe some are, but that’s a different matter).

This will eventually backfire, but I don’t know when. As for myself, I used to be a lot more tolerant of gay people until they started ramming their agenda down everyone’s throat.
Either they will quit being so outspoken and “in-your-face” after they get gay marriage passed (which they will), and people will just ignore them, or they will ask for still more (God knows what) and people will eventually stop being so tolerant.

However, I must say, we certainly are OFF TOPIC. This was about what is the Church’s stance on homosexual adoptions!!
Yep, I know what you mean. When women wanted to vote, they got “in your face” with their agenda. Without them, women may not have gotten the right to vote. So, “in your face” worked for women.

Blacks had a lot of nerve pushing their agenda to ride in the front of the bus and sit at a Woolworths counter or go to schools with whites. Huge agenda there for all. I wonder how far it would have gotten if they had stayed in the sidelines and done nothing. Looks like “in your face” worked well there too.

Tolerance has everything to do with it. We work with gay people. They have children going to school with our children. Gays pay taxes. Catholic gays go to church ( yes some do - every week) Gays adopt children for the very same reasons straights do.

Years ago, those who opposed desegregation in the Armed Forces, schools and women voting were proved wrong. Opposition to gays marrying and adopting children will fall the same way.

It’s just a matter of time. And yes we are off topic. Let’s go back now.

Women are born XX

Blacks are born XY/XX and black

Gay people are not born gay…non-sequitor

Following your logic then get ready for father/son marriages. Stop complaining.

The thing you seem to be conveniently overlooking is that the Church was never in favor of suppressing women or blacks. The Catholic Church’s teachings on homosexuality, SSM and gays adopting on the other hand, are crystal clear, and have been forever. But you just happen to have the opposing view or secular view on this. I’m finding this to be not at all unusual here on CAF. And I can assure you, that your assertion that the Catholic Church will be “proved wrong” on this is a pipe dream.

Peace, Mark

You are right Mark. The truth will resolve all attempts at indoctrination. I’ve worked with gay people long before same-sex so-called marriage was on the radar. Please notice the common, and incorrect tactic, of attempting to falsely connect the subject to unrelated subjects. This is an attempt to create confusion and to cause doubt. No one should fall for this. The Church didn’t and closed its adoption agencies.

Peace,
Ed

Absolutely spot on! And I wonder who is behind this *“attempt to create confusion and to cause doubt,”… *I believe it’s none other than the father of lies himself. The troubling thing about this is, is that ***many, many ***Catholics are falling for this deception. Whether its abortion, gay adoption, SSM, or whatever…they’re falling for it hook, line, and sinker! And he’s pretty darn clever at creating this confusion. I hate to say this, but it would appear that some Catholics are willing participants, or at least it appears that way.

Peace, Mark
