Internet cafes in Russia’s villages and countryside? OK. You didn’t answer my question: do you support Putin controlling all the TV news in Russia as he does now?
I thought I said internet cafes in the cities.
Anyway, no I do not agree with government control of all TV news. However, what about channel 5 and I think it is REN TV in Russia? I thought that they were independent, at least partially. Also, I believe the Murdoch owns a newspaper or some sort of media chain in Russia.
Is the news completely free in any country in the world today? Take for example, the USA. Soon after Dan Rather of CBS News spoke about the military service of George Bush, he was fired. Who controls CBS News? Did the people of the USA decide to fire Dan Rather?

Please tell us what country or countries you would want to live in.
Praying for a peaceful and just resolution to the current unrest in Ukraine would be a far more productive use of your time than continuing to argue. Just saying.

All US media networks are corporate owned, thus why you dont see certain topics mentioned anymore.

This became most apparent in one of the winter Olympics games, a reporter had found Nike was guilty of having some of their items made in horrible sweatshops, and some other less than moral things, the reporter prepared a great story to get this out in the public, but her bosses fired her instead, because Nike was supplying all the media with Nike coats, hats, etc to be worn when they were reporting on camera.
