An Athens, Alabama teacher has been reprimanded after showing his eighth grade science class an obscenity-laden Internet movie attacking President Bush. Steve White, who is also a Democratic candidate for the state legislature, screened a film that repeatedly calls the president, Condoleezza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld — among others — a word that can’t be repeated on a network newscast.

One parent tells the Athens News Courier that White also made her son say “John Kerry rocks” before leaving the classroom. She says the private reprimand isn’t discipline enough and is calling for a public apology.

If this were the reverse and the teacher was defending Bush and calling Kerry a traitor the MSM would be all over it. I’ll bet this is the only time we hear about it nationally.

A public apology is not enough, in my opinion. I am sick and tired of teachers brainwashing our kids to form the same opinions that the teachers hold. And doing so in such a crude, profane, and sneaky way makes it all the more intolerable. These teachers, those who try to indoctrinate our kids, need to be fired and lose any tenure they have earned.
The NEA is a liberal organization that is succeeding in hijacking our education system on all levels. A portion of teachers’ union dues are given to the Democratic party as donations, whether the teacher is a Democrat or Republican. Teachers virtually have no say in that matter.
If you cannot bring yourself to teach our kids objectively, communicating facts and not personal opinion and politics, then you have no business being a teacher. This garbage has to stop.

The NEA in my opinion is one of the most dangerous Unions in the USA now. We home school because education is not the first priority of public schools IMHO, social change is.

I am hearing about families home schooling children more now-a-days than ever before. I think it’s a great response to the corrupt NEA and the sneaky, fraudulent teachers we have cultivated in this country. Good for you, Kathleen!
