Senator Rubio (from last night) . . . . .
“Yesterday afternoon, I was made aware, for the first time, of allegations of improper conduct by my Chief of Staff while under the employment of my office. These allegations were reported directly to me instead of our General Counsel or the Congressional Office of Compliance. Immediately upon receiving this complaint, I along with our General Counsel, began an investigation of this matter.

“By early this afternoon, I had sufficient evidence to conclude that while employed by this office, my Chief of Staff had violated office policies regarding proper relations between a supervisor and their subordinates. I further concluded that this led to actions which in my judgement amounted to threats to withhold employment benefits.

“This evening, I traveled from Florida to Washington D.C. and terminated his employment effective immediately.

“We have taken steps to ensure that those impacted by this conduct have access to any services they may require now or in the future. Pursuant to the wishes of those victimized by this conduct, we will not be disclosing any further details about the incidents which occurred. We will be formally notifying the appropriate Congressional and Senate administrative offices of this matter when they return to work Monday morning.”

Hillary Clinton (citations – see above postings) . . . .
WASHINGTON – A senior adviser to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign who was accused of repeatedly sexually harassing a young subordinate was kept on the campaign at Mrs. Clinton’s request, according to four people familiar with what took place.

Mrs. Clinton’s campaign manager at the time recommended that she fire the adviser, Burns Strider.

But Clinton did not. . . the young woman was moved to a new job.

And from a couple of days ago . . .
Hillary called the young woman who was victimized to remind her how “proud” she is of her.

According to Hillary, Hillary also reminded the victim that all of these sexual harassment victims “deserve to be heard”.

No word yet if Hillary is going to exempt this young woman in part or in total from the non-disclosure agreement she signed when she went to work for Hillary.

It did not “take a village” for Senator Rubio to take action here.

Hillary? She is still “shocked” by her donor (here are your winnings Hillary) and buddy Harvey Weinstein. (But she will probably get another phony award next year for her promotion of abortion er hum, “advocacy for women”.)

The complaint against Mr. Strider was made by a 30-year-old woman who shared an office with him. She told a campaign official that Mr. Strider had rubbed her shoulders inappropriately, kissed her on the forehead and sent her a string of suggestive emails, including at least one during the night, according to three former campaign officials familiar with what took place.

The complaint was taken to Ms. Doyle, the campaign manager, who approached Mrs. Clinton and urged that Mr. Strider, who was married at the time, be fired, according to the officials familiar with what took place. Mrs. Clinton said she did not want to, and instead he remained on her staff.

Please, I don’t think I made an insult or have in any way been uncivil.

You have posted many links with few comments on them. I asked about the point of all of this. You indicated that there is a point but did not elaborate. I have not been able to discern your point.

I noted at the outset that I think that the point made by Theo is a good one. If accusations of harassment, in particular of harassment at the level detailed here in the links, and now in your post, is an immediate firing offense, then please tell us: what of Trump?

Why is this a dig deal to some and the multiple accusations against Trump not?

Me too. What I have found however, is that people’s recollections of the facts of twenty-thirty years ago are colored by the events in the nearer term, and recurrent accusations that stretch the actual facts into some thing politically expedient. I don’t mind jogging people’s memories, even though it often seems like being on a merry-go round. It is a good thing, IMO.
