CNN Pole: Pope's Approval Sky High

Do they approve of his handling or do they approve of the perception of his handling as reported by people like CNN?
 
Can’t speak for everyone else, but I certainly approve of the Pope and the way he has handled his papacy up to this point. But even if I didn’t approve, It wouldn’t matter. It is not my role to approve or disapprove. It is my role to live my faith as best as I can and allow the Holy Spirit to lead the Church through the individuals it has chosen. Francis is my Pope, as was Benedict before him. I pray for the humility to live my faith as deeply as I can.
 
Leave it to CAF to put a negative spin on such a positive story.

Personally, I love all modern Popes equally and view them each as bringing their own gifts.

Oh, I love Pope Francis and think he’s great.

But I’ve had plenty of “No, the Pope actually said…” arguments. It isn’t Francis’ fault that the MSM sucks at their job. Wife and I had a good Catholic friend and child of a Deacon who posted that “Third Vatican” satire as truth and assumed it was something the Pope would really say, which is probably based on the person’s perception of Francis via the media.

I just wonder what the perception would be if the media accurately talked about Francis and what he preaches what the approval rating would be. It’s really a knock on my part on our fellow American catholics than on the Holy Father.
 
Oh boy. Approval ratings for Popes. Gives me the chills. I hope the Curia never pays attention to this sort of stuff; I’m sure they don’t.

🙂 Only approval ratings that matter are not CNN’s but God’s.
 
High approval ratings are useful. If people like you they are more apt to listen to what you say then if they hate you.
