Any Coast To Coast AM or Midnight in the Desert fans?

I know I can’t be the only one 😃
 
I used to listen to it when Art Bell and Barbara Simpson hosted it, but haven’t listened to it in years. I especially enjoyed the Halloween ghost stories.

George Noory just ain’t my cup o’ tea.
 
Right here!. Started out with Art Bell in the late 90’s but pretty much stopped after he left the air. I listened to George Noorey for awhile but ever since I got Sirius Radio I don’t listen to terrestrial radio any more. Did you happen to hear Art’s interviews with Father Malachai Martin? They were great and I still have the interviews that I recorded from back then. Art was the best!
 
Not since my work shift started at 2 a.m. and I had to drive thirty minutes to work in the middle of the night… through the Lincoln National Forest… an hour from Roswell… where there was no cell phone signal…
 
Ever hear the Phil Hendrie spoofs? They were so good, people thought it was Art - and Art loved it!
 
I used to work with a guy who was nuts about Art Bell. We listened to him almost every night but had to stop because it upset one of our coworkers. I haven’t listened in years.
 
My shift ends at 2am. I listened to Coast to Coast for a while on the way home. In the 35-40 minutes it took me to get home at least 20 minutes of that was advertising.

After a couple of weeks I couldn’t take the UFO, Lizard people, bigfoot discussions. Maybe I am uptight, but it seems like there is much more constructive things these people could be putting their energy.

The best show I listened to was about the murder castle in Chicago. I guess there is now a US Post office on the location where the guys killed hundreds of people back in the day.
 
Art Bell was hilarious! Whenever he would have some kooky conspiracy theorist as his guest the bumper music was “You’ve Blown It All Sky High,” a one hit wonder from the mid- 70’s. I always got a kick out of that.

Art always seemed to have good shows and pertinent, I remembered when the Oklahoma City bombing and he just seemed to tap a nerve.

And I agree, the commercials seem to be too many.

George Noory is okay, I don’t get to hear him often.

Art plays, I think it is still the theme song, the theme from “Midnight Express”, that really is a doozy of an instrumental, I even went out and got a copy.
 
I also used to listen to it when Art Bell did the show. It just wasn’t the same after he stopped so I stopped listening to it.

I like Coast to Coast. Used to listen to it all the time. Some of the shows were so disturbing, I had to turn it off or I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Mel’s Hole. Remember that one? I liked that one, until it got totally ridiculous with laser beams shooting out of it. Another good one was “Missing 411” about people who have disappeared in national parks. Taken by bigfoot, presumably. :eek:

I remember “Mel’s hole.” Yeah, that was pretty creepy. I don’t recall “Missing 411” but I remember the pilot flying over Area 51. And who could forget Whitley Strieber’s alien probe?
But the most disturbing by far was the suicide forest at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. Once you would enter into the forest, you would never come out. The haunted prison grounds were pretty creepy too.
 
I got sick of the commercials years ago and stopped listening; but I do still like the New Year’s Eve prediction shows. :rolleyes:
 
I find that show tongue in cheek funny. It is virtually the only time I switch from Catholic Radio in the car. Listen to/fro my night time Adoration stint.

Agree with several posters… Art Bell was the best.

I dont listen to the show, but I have listened to certain guest segments, Missing 411 is very interesting, there was another guy, a Dr (cant recall his name), he would go into hypnosis and they would ask him questions on various subjects, I think it had something to do with the ‘Akashic records’ (if Im spelling that right?).
