:winter: With the weather temps ranging from the bone-chilling frigid north, to down here in Florida where it’s been pretty-darn-cold, what kind of comfort foods have you been making? I made Crawfish Corn Bisque. It’s my SIL’s recipe. I had it in Slidell in early December when we visited my Brother & SIL for Brother’s birthday. They had all kinds of good New Orleans/Louisiana foods to eat. Everything was delicious! Sil sent me the recipe & I made it for the first time today. DH says he will want it at least twice a month from now on because it’s sooo good
! Here’s the recipe, which is real easy:
1 stick Parkay
1 Onion, chopped
3-4 Green Onions, chopped
1 pkg. thawed, frozen Crawfish Tails
1 Pint Half-n-Half
2 Cans Cream of Potato Soup
1 Can Creamed Corn
1 Capful Zatarains Liquid Crab & Shrimp Boil
Melt Parkay in a large pot. Saute onions. Add Crawfish & simmer for 3 or 4 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for about 25 minutes. That’s it! De-lish!
