Psalms 34
17 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

God bless and heal His Excellency

I have a close friends who lives in Columbus. I will certainly pray for him.

I will keep Bishop Campbell in my prayers too.

Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee, Blessed art Thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Two years ago Bishop Campbell suffered a heart attack.

dispatch.com/live/contentbe/EPIC_shim.php?story=251228

The last time I saw Bishop Campbell was as the celebrant of The Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass last year at the Coming Home Network’s Deep in History conference held in Columbus. Bishop Campbell wasn’t able to stand and distribute the Blessed Sacrament. I had no idea he had a foot ailment. I knew he had been ill, I thought he was still weak from his heart attack.

Psalmus 129
De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine:
Domine, exaudi vocem meam:
Fiant aures tuae intendentes,
in vocem deprecationis meae.
Si iniquitates observaveris, Domine:
Domine, quis sustinebit?
Quia apud te propitiatio est:
et propter legem tuam sustinui te, Domine.
Sustinuit anima mea in verbo eius:
speravit anima mea in Domino.
A custodia matutina usque ad noctem:
speret Israel in Domino.
Quia apud Dominum misericordia:
et copiosa apud eum redemptio.
Et ipse redimet Israel,
ex omnibus iniquitatibus eius.
Gloria Patri, et Filio,
et Spiritui Sancto.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

Thank you everyone.

Bishop Campbell is a very wonderful man - he makes everyone think of a kindly grandfather. He stood for nearly an hour, two or three years ago at an RCIA ceremony, greeting the Elect and posing for pictures with the Elect and their family and friends, talking and asking where they were each from and just being so very kind and loving.

I will be hearing some news tomorrow evening at Church and will update all of you if there has not been any other updates already posted.

In the Love of Christ,
Deb

March 30, 2009 - The Diocese of Columbus is pleased to report that the surgery that Bishop Frederick F. Campbell underwent today involving amputation of his left foot in order to remove squamous cell carcinoma and osteomyelitis of multiple bones in his foot was successful. He is now resting comfortably and will be giving himself the time and space he needs in order to heal so that he can return to the full exercise of his duties as Bishop of Columbus in the near future. His prognosis remains excellent. Bishop Campbell is grateful for the many prayers and expressions of support he has received so far. Please continue to keep Bishop Campbell in your prayers. Those wishing to send a card or note of support may do so by mail to: Chancery Office, Diocese of Columbus, 198 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215.

Thank you everyone!
Keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery!

One and half years ago, Columbus was the host city for the National Catholic Youth Conference. Bishop Campbell celebrated the mass for the over 22,000 teens and adults who traveled to Columbus for the 3 day event. He was a gracious host to all of us and we will keep him in our prayers for a full and speedy recovery, surrounded by the love of able caregivers and family. We ask all these prayers through the intercession of our Blessed Lady and Christ our Lord. Amen.

Praying.

A priest I once knew here in the eastern part of the US is stationed in his diocese. I’m sure that he is among those praying for the health of the Bishop.
