It’s interesting how Hollywood, Media Print, Arts, Entertainment and Television constantly portray Christianity in a such a negative light as though anyone who foolishly believes in such beliefs are unenlightened neanderthals. While they delve into New Age religion, The Secret, eat love pray, eastern meditation, the occult, etc. as though it is more in tune with the moral relativism and correctness of our culture. Part of this is out apathy and lack of zeal to support our beliefs.
The other night I was watching a segment on CNN Anderson Cooper 360 with Bill Maher who is anti religious. The discussion is why is the media ‘afraid’ to say anything negative about Islam at the same time will be, hypocrites as they are, trash Christian beliefs and our Christian value system.

Remember the uproar on displaying a despicably piece of ‘art’ supposedly portraying the Madonna a few years ago. The arts and entertainment industry felt no shame in attacking our Christian beliefs while we silently stood by.
I remember the days when Hollywood was on the side of Christians but since the 60’s and moral relativism, there has been a slow erosion of Christian values and beliefs. I remember the Legion of Decency, I remember major actors eager to play parts in Christian movies, Spencer Tracy in Boys Town, Bing Crosby in The Bells of Saint Mary’s and Going My Way, Debbie Reynolds in the Singing Nun, Sally Fields in The Flying Nun tv series, Charlton Heston in Ben Hur, Bishop Sheen etc. Now in Canada we have Little Mosque on the Prairie! What?
There is a saying by Edmund Burke that has some weight and relevancy on this issue: "**All that is necessary for
evil to
triumph is for
good men to
do nothing."
**Observe how the zeal, advocacy and energy that a homosexual organization such as Act Up representing only a small segment of our society less than 5%, can have such an incredible influence and political impact on changing the moral landscape of our society whereby laws are created and are passed which fundamentally and diametrically oppose our Christian morals, decency and values, while we remain on the sidelines silent. We are supposed to represent the majority in this country, so why do we allow a small minority to impose their values on our sacred and holy institution of marriage, the church or the unborn. Our Silence is Deafening.
Where were we, the majority when prayer was taken out of our schools by the action of one person? Is this a democracy of one person over the majority of all others? How can you even call it a democracy anymore? A Federal judge knock down the National Day of Prayer as being unconstitutional because of legal action of atheists. President Obama tone down the aspects of this day. Franklin Graham recently stated that he worries that the our country is increasingly hostile to the Christian faith. “I think there are many Christians in America today who feel that we are losing our freedoms while people of other faiths are gaining their freedom." That is why this sexual abuse scandal is so detrimental to our cause as it gives the atheists and people like Bill Maher the excuse and rationale to increase their hatred toward our Christian beliefs
Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) – the group behind the successful lawsuit, calls the Day of Prayer “un-American,” adding, “We should not let the Christian right hijack our Constitution. The First Amendment to the Constitution was never intended to keep religion out of government but was added so that religion can flourish and not be impacted by the government. There was no wall of separation between church and state, that was a phase taken our of context from Thomas Jefferson and was a ‘stare decision’ of the Supreme Court. The purpose of the 1st Amendment intent was to prevent the government imposing a State Religion on everyone. If you looking at the statements and actions of our founding fathers, religion and the functions of government intermingle quite extensively. Jefferson even authorize the distribution of the Bible in schools as part of their reading curriculum.
So society and the media mocks Jesus but won’t touch Islam because they know and fear the consequences of such actions…such blatant hypocrisy. They should be call out for such hypocrisy whenever they make such sheepish comments about upseting the sensitivities of another religion or appearing bigoted. They should fear the Church as we have the voting power and our numbers are large. We need to clean up the filth of Satan’s PR firm called ‘Hollywood’ :knight2: But then how many of us are lulled into this deception by watching so many TV programs and sitcoms that promote immorality as an accepted life style. Guilty :imsorry:
So we fiddler as our Christian rights are eroded and legislated away.

Is it any wonder that our nation is experiencing the calamities and threats because we moved away from God? The Old Testament gives us clear warnings when a nation moves away from God.
We need to wake up, stand up and fight for our beliefs as we have the greatest message for the world to hear encapsulated in the teachings of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The alternative of inaction, I fear, is the loss of our very freedoms we currently enjoy. :knight2:
