That was so funny!

But look what they wrote: the *Archbishop *of Wellington was doing his own grocery shopping! I think it’s great that the Cardinal waited for him in his kitchen… the whole story makes them all sound like such *real *people!.
 
What fun to see the ‘dignitaries’ of the Church behaving like ordinary people!
Sounds like cabbies all over the world!
Now, in my case, the cabbie took me to the Catholic Church even though I had asked for the Anglican one - seems my fellow was more in touch with God than I was, because, even though I walked around the corner to the Anglican church, the following week saw me at the Catholic church and talking to Father straight after Mass about converting.

Most people don’t normally encounter their bishop “off duty,” and even hearing the story of my Mom’s encounter with our cardinal as he was leaving the supermarket, was pretty interesting to learn.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind running into Archbishop Gomez at Disneyland! 😛
