There is a comet approaching within 72 million miles of earth by the end of April. It is a green comet five times the size of Jupiter. I’m not sure if size refers to the actual comet object or it’s atmosphere and wave front.
Interesting timing for this celestial event. It was first spotted in December around the time the corona virus began. It has not been seen since 4000 BC. I’m posting it here for anyone who is interested in this kind of thing.

Ok, its not the size of Jupiter THE TAIL LENGTH is 5 times the size of Jupiter…lol when i read that I was like, there is no way they would classify a comet the size of Jupiter as a comet and not a planet.

How can a comet be the size of Jupiter?
Something like that would tear the Earth out of its orbit.

I watched, and found it entertaining, but hardly serious.

Skywatch Media’s main focus is on end times prophecies more than science of astronomy (even though “Skywatch” might lead one to believe otherwise).

How so? Not sure how it even remotely is connected to events today.

NASA’s web postings talks openly about it, without attempts at tying it to end times and COVID-19, except that both are happening at the same time.

Sounds like it might be another example of science being poo-pooed while making a natural event seem to have a scary supernatural cause.

I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.

I looked up when we could see it.

UPDATE:
While things look very good for a while, scientists did warn not to get too excited because comets are unpredictable. That turns out to have been good advice. Observers have confirmed that Comet ATLAS has begun to break up.

The comet is now in multiple pieces, with people observing it splintered into three or possibly even four separate parts. It’s not uncommon behavior for a comet that spend that vast majority of its life in the cold reaches of space before approaching a massive heat source like the sun.

We’ll just have to keep waiting for the next big comet event to come another time.
Bummer. I was looking forward to looking for it.
