My husband agrees with me on some things. And you are free to speak about anything you want. Oh by the way, you are excused and God Bless you.I can’t speak for her husband…because I have never spoken to him…but in regards to her, she has clearly, time and time again stated she holds views in direct opposition to Catholic Theology, Tradition, Rome, and The Pope…and EXCUSE ME, If I have an issue without someone who holds heretical views touching The Most Blessed Sacrament and giving it to Catholics every weekend…to me that is a sacrilige and if that makes me a jerk or a rigid a-hole than so be it…this is an abomination.
And I can hear my detractors now…You are “judging” her…no I am not, Judgement is between the individual and God…however, when it comes to a clear and present abomination taking place IN MY CHURCH…furthermore, IN OUR CHURCH, then I have every right to speak out against it and get furious and there is something wrong if you don’t as well.
You meant the old Catholic Church I think. You know…you are right and I was completely wrong…jeez…I can’t believe I actually started to believe that one had to believe what the Church teaches in order to be a practicing Catholic…which I thought was a prerequisite for receiving Communion…and especially to be an EMHC…I can’t believe I was so confused…I like this new view of Catholicism…no rules or restrictions…everyone can receive…lets party it up and have fun in the new American Catholic Church whoooooooo!!!
Well my advice to you is do not take it that way.Not necessary, we can show you pictures of microscopic particles all over the place because of sloppy practices. And communion in the hand is about as sloppy as it gets.
Invite me to theparty if you decide to have one. I love to praise the Lord always.
Yes, you make a VERY valid point – if it was good enough for our ancestors, why isn’t it good enough for us?I can only give my own personal testimony which I know will upset some. I have never received Communion in the hand - always on the tongue since 1958 when I made my First Communion. I was an altar boy for several years before Vatican II and I can personally attest that I have seen with my own two eyes particles upon the paten which used to be placed under the necks of communicants. In my mother’s day, communicants placed their hands under the communion rail cloth as an extra line of defense.
CITH is an indult. The norm throughout most of Western European history (see Bishop Basil? I am making it clear that it is Western European history) was on the tongue. What was good enough for all the ancestors that I have been able to run down in my family’s genealogy is good enough for me.

No because I am not a hypocritical. I love Jesus and follow the Bible and if it ain’t in the Bible I do not do it.I’m sorry…I have to ask. Do you not feel the least bit hypocritical distributing The Most Blessed Sacrament to faithful, practicing Catholics who believe in everything The Church teaches and probably expect those handling and giving Communion to do the same…all the while you do not…you hold views in direct opposition to The Church. Does that not bother you at all? Is your conscience bankrupt?

Please be so kind as to show me where it is “infallibly defined” that ONLY Communion on the Tongue is the way that we are to receive? Because unless it is infallibly defined, it is very well possible that it is wrong. Do you understand that? Do you understand that The Pope and all the men in the Magisterium are just that…MEN capable of error and even sinning. It is possible for them to be wrong in their judgement.Unless it is infallibly defined, it is very well possible that it is wrong. Do you understand that? Do you understand that The Pope and all the men in the Magisterium are just that…MEN capable of error and even sinning. It is possible for them to be wrong in their judgement…it is also possible for them to be indifferent to an ongoing abuse, like I alluded to earlier…now if it is a matter of faith and morals or infallibly defined, I will not argue with it…but if it isn’t, we are not bound to follow it with blind obedience.
Are you saying that the Church sanctions a practices that are bad? Wouldn’t that mean that Jesus lied to us when He promised that the Gates of Hell would not over-run His Church? And if Christ lied about that, how can we trust any of His other teachings?Just because the Church sanctions a practice does not mean that it is good.
That statement alone is contrary to our faith…I will most certainly be praying for you…and to everyone else out there…“they walk amongst us”…wolves in sheeps clothing.
Is it any wonder that we have a crisis in The Catholic Church when there are people in positions of importance such as EMHC who are not even practicing Catholics??? How widespread is this problem? How many members of the clergy are like this??? I am sorry, but this is very, very troubling to me. And the SSPX is the real enemy
Oh yeah…Tweety…put your money where your mouth is. EMHC’s are not found anywhere in the Bible, so therefore in order for you to be true to your word, you should cease being one. Sound good?
Maybe only if they think they’re bad. But oh no wait. They would have to call themselves Cafeteria Catholics then. Are you saying that the Church sanctions a practices that are bad? Fortunately the Gates of Hell have only over-run those who think they are better than Christ’s Church. Are you saying that the Church sanctions a practices that are bad? Wouldn’t that mean that Jesus lied to us when He promised that the Gates of Hell would not over-run His Church?
