They will say that all of these religions were perfect and from God , but man has distorted them, and the only way to know of their original purity is through Bahaism. As I said before, merely avoidance of difficult questions doesn’t get you much credibility. Again you go off in another direction, without giving the responses to my questions. Rest assure, I am not easily swayed by such tactics.
Your faith plagiarized other religions. Your faith make ridiculous claims of other faiths.
1.Your faith paints a god who doesn’t know whether he created the universe or whether the universe have always been eternal. If the universe has always been eternal, then the Abrahamic and Mosaic and even the much later Islamic manifestations would be a lie because this god told the Israelites/Arabs he created it. Is it acceptable for your god to lie? Or were they merely channels to do whatever he felt like doing at that time?
Perhaps you don’t even know the origins of your faith. How much of its history to you really know? How much of its history has been censored or altered? A prophecy that didn’t come true edited out of newer editions? Brothers usurping each other? Each successive heads abrogating the teachings of prior heads? Each successor claiming to be the latest and greatest and prohibiting future claimants or future changes to their teachings? Yet these are the very things they did to so-call previous manifestations.
- Your faith paints a god who at different manifestations say contradicting things. A god that can not make up his mind or worse, lies. In Abraham and Moses, he said your Lord is one. If you change sides, you break the covenant with Him. However in Krishna, it is ok. Just choose one that you like. Better still in Buddha, none is required. Then in Jesus and Mohammed, it is back to one god again. So which one is it? So which worshiper got lied to this time?
- Your faith paints a Jesus who lied about his death and resurrection among other things.
- Abraham and Moses never claimed to be manifestations of God. They knew their places. So you are guilty of putting words in their mouth. Putting a label on someone long after their demise so that they can not refute you is really a terrible tactic.
Anyone who wanted to know this religion in detail ought to research deeply into its history. At first I was astonished. But on reflection, it is just human nature at play. Many just want to be top dog.
So if your god has a history of lying, why should anyone believe in what Bab, Bahaullah and successors have to say about their god? Convince me this god won’t resort to lying again. Then again, why should anyone takes that risk. Perhaps you might want to ask yourself why should YOU take that risk. Your salvation is at stake here. Only Jesus promises you that. And unlike others, he never lies.
I don’t blame you for not knowing your history well. (I am going to be presumptuous here). Because your history has been sanitized by management. But you owe it to yourself to research it and find out what the real historical truth is.
