The Fast. We are given special prayers for fasting and given many explanations about it. I’ve fasted for 2 weeks now. 5 more days to go.

Do you use that verse every time someone tells you they went to Mass too?

I’m glad you quoted that verse because that’s one of my favourites also. Thanks for that Joey.

Today I dedicated the Fast to the Disciples of Christ

The disciples of Christ forgot themselves and all earthly things, forsook all their cares and belongings, purged themselves of self and passion, and with absolute detachment scattered far and wide and engaged in calling the peoples of the world to the divine guidance; till at last they made the world another world, illumined the surface of the earth, and even to their last hour proved self-sacrificing in the pathway of that beloved One of God. Finally in various lands they suffered glorious martyrdom. Let them that are men of action follow in their footsteps! Abdul-Baha

God Bless all

Dear Joey,

Between the Bible and these Words of Baha’u’llah … I’m between a rock and a hard place…
*
“For the doings of men are all dependent upon Thy good-pleasure, and are conditioned by Thy behest. Shouldst Thou regard him who hath broken the Fast as one who hath observed it, such a man would be reckoned among them who from eternity had been keeping the Fast. And shouldst Thou decree that he who hath observed the Fast hath broken it,that person would be numbered with such as have caused the Robe of Thy Revelation to be stained with dust, and been far removed from the crystal waters of this living Fountain.”*

Baha’u’llah

Without the experience of the Church there would be no Bible. The point of talking about the Bible and claiming how beautiful it is without the Church that gave it is limiting.

MJ
I would consider God Doeth as He Willeth.

No one can Limit the Word of God.

God bless and regards Tony.

God did do what he willed. That he sent his only Son because he loved his creation Man (who despite breaking his Laws and killing the prophets!) more than his own Son!

How limitless!

Even St. Paul explains the limitless :

Philippians 2:

5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

My Lord and My God! Amen!

I don’t know what Robe of Revelation, stained with dust, and removed from the crystal waters of this living Fountain means. But do know that a Christian fast is just bread and water only… for a 24 hour period .

Right, and God thought it would be best to change that name to Baha’u’llah… so that he could confuse everybody

Stained the Robe of Revelation probably means I’m a disgrace to my religion and removed from crystal waters probably get no reward for all the fasting I’ve done.

Our fast is no food or water from sunrise to sunset… Nothing. Zilch. But we’re forbidden to fast if we are sick.

Yes Martin we can not Limit God or His Messengers and this is the point we make.

Christianity has taken Jesus and God and made it their own doctrine, theybhave called that the Fullness of Truth and then tell others that they have no idea what the Fullness of Truth is.

Can you not see your Love for your Faith is but the same as another’s Love for their Faith.

It is not until we Love together and see God in all Love that we may actually start finding any Truth about our God.

I leave it to you.

Regards Tony

I was just reading about the upcoming canonisation of Mother Theresa.

When I see people like her I feel ashamed just to talk about religion as she spoke with her seeds. All her life she cared for the poor and disadvantaged which is one of greatest teachings of God.

It’s easy to talk the talk but to be so self sacrificing as she was and dedicate our lives like she did is no small feat.

God bless her soul eternally.

I dedicate today’s Fast to her memory.

Love to all.

Yes David, this is so.

Talk does not do the work that changes the world.

Service to humanity in.ones Love of God does.

Have a great day and Now Ruz now approaching 👍

God bless regards Tony

Mistake in above post meant to be ‘deeds’ apologies.
Well at least you grasp that part of Catholicism, unlike our Protestant brothers and sisters who want to fight us tooth and nail over the meaning of Good works. 👍

**So also, faith by itself if it has not works, is dead.

James 2:17**

You’ve not even dealt with Jesus own words. You claim you love him, so what is your definition of loving him then? So strange.

MJ

You’ve not even dealt with Jesus own words. You claim you love him, so what kind of love is this?

MJ
Dear Martin - I deal with the Words of Jesus the Christ every day of my life.

That you have another opinion is for you to sort out, as I have my own issues to sort out in my journey to Love Christ and all of Gods Prophets, Messengers, Chosen Ones and to follow the example of all the Saints that have been to date.

God bless you always - regards Tony
