There is no conflict between reason and faith.

When a well formed Catholic senses that there is conflict it’s a morally grave responsibility to dig into that conflict until it’s resolved.

This may mean consulting true experts and laying out your well thought through objections and obstacles, p(name removed by moderator)ointing them, clarifying them, adding detail to them…vs…having general notions of a conflict.

This also means examining one’s own motives…“well I already believe in SSM…”.

Sincere, non-stopping, wide searching is required of an adult Catholic, leveraging others, good books and so forth.

To walk away…declaring ‘Catholic teaching is wrong’ without this sort of work and effort that I am (only briefly) describing goes against one’s own faith and also reason!!
