No its not, but demanding that Government takes from those who have something to give to those who have less, is Communism.

Jim,

merriam-webster.com/dictionary/actually

Now what is communism.

**From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

**Translation, take from the haves and give to the have nots. But what no one can define is, who is a “have”? Is a have anyone that has 300 times more than someone else? Or just has more than someone else?
How do you explain this, is it communism?
2 Corinthians 8:13-15New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
13 I do not mean that there should be relief for others and pressure on you, but it is a question of a fair balance between 14 your present abundance and their need, so that their abundance may be for your need, in order that there may be a fair balance. 15 As it is written,
“The one who had much did not have too much,
and the one who had little did not have too little.”

com·mu·nism
ˈkämyəˌnizəm/
noun
noun: communism; noun: Communism; plural noun: Communisms
Code:
a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.
Taxing income to run government, isn’t communism and healthcare is a basic right which the government must run just as they collect taxes to build roads, schools and provide for defense.

Lots of assertions here…

Why must government run healthcare?
Why must government run schools?

Because it ensures everyone gets healthcare and education instead of just the wealthy.

Both were passed through the democratic process in Congress, which would not happen under communism.

Back before Obama care I was earning $40,000 a year, I had great health care. Is $40,000 a year wealthy? I know people earning $30,000 a year that had full healthcare coverage.

You know what they say about democracy, it two wolves and a lamb voting on what is for dinner. So tyrany of the masses is OK? Yet in Cuba, it is claimed they have a better health care system than the USA. The stronger the central government, the worse lives the people have to live.

I would suggest reading the history of healthcare and ecucation in the US. It paints a rather different picture.

Yeah I know, back in history, education and health care was dismal.

Heck, how far back do you want to go in US History, back before anti-child labor laws ?

Things weren’t so great then, you can be assured.

Yeah well when I lost my job my health insurance premiums were $1500 per month, and I was only getting $800 for unemployment.

Thank God for Romney Care, which Obama Care was built off of, for I ended up with affordable health insurance just in time for when I got cancer and had to have surgery for it.

I’m on ACA now, and thank God for it,

And the government was responsible for ending child labor, and not economic prosperity?

Everything else wtitten is also wrong.

Seriously, do some basic research.

If you can provide good, affordable healthcare and good affordable schools without government involvement, that would be wonderful! Nobody is stopping you or any private person from doing so.

We would all come to your hospitals and schools and put the government ones out of business. But until you do, we need the government to do something, so the people don’t die out of lack of healthcare or remain illiterate like in many third world countries.

Unfortunately no private enterprise has succeeded in providing either (affordable and good quality) in the last two hundred years. Only thing they are capable of doing is inventing a pill that costs $1000 a day (like the hepatitis pill)

Which one is it that cant afford health care, Only the wealthy or the unemployed? BTW, do only the wealth get an education? I am not wealthy yet I have a degree that has helped keep me employed. My wife has a masters in Computer Science and my son is getting his degree in engineering/physics. Yet we are not a wealthy family.

Catholic ran hospitals are second to none in the USA, same for the educational system at Catholic school.

You want example for poor ran, inefficient, corrupt, hospitals and school. Go to a government ran school or hospital, in the case of life or death, if going to a government ran hospital you might just be giving up your life. Just look at the VA. How many people died just waiting for care at VA hospitals? I really cant believe you wrote the post quoted above. Its just plain wrong.
