Your answer will be found in the presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Go to adoration and spend time before Him. He knows your doubts. Ask Him to reveal His Presence to you and then be patient. When our Lord reveals His Presence to you through the Holy Spirit, you will be forever changed.

“The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”

I’m still unsure. What does this even mean if not referencing a pure symbolism?

“the flesh is no help at all”
Also, what does this mean in any context?
I’ve considered this also. But Jesus says this BEFORE the disciples leave. If this was how He was “clearing up things” or explaining He was speaking merely metaphorically, then why did they still leave?

If you can explain away the scripture as symbolism that does not negate the many Eucharistic miracles and the grace it gives us in our humble lives.

We truly meet the Risen Lord when we receive Him in Holy Communion.
