On the one hand there is concern (Pope Francis getting “constant” up-dates) but on the other hand there are reports of there being no actual illness. It seems he is just getting increasingly frail.

Indeed, he looked extremely thin when photographed with Pope Francis at their meeting at Castel Gandolfo, even thinner than in the footage taken on his last day as Pontiff. The weight is dropping off him.
 
I’m feeling more and more concerned about this, I can’t stand the thought of him suffering 😦

But is dramatic weight loss normal without an illness?

How sorrowful. 😦 I will continue to pray for superiores nostrum Papa that he will feel not much suffering during his old age. May he live peacefully in his monastery on Vatican grounds, without pain or suffering until he is called to be with Our Lord.
 
Very sad indeed. May God protect, comfort, and look after His servant.
 
In my prayers also, but I suspect he is looking forward to seeing the loving face of God.

Could you post this because I am not finding that. In fact, i 'm finding the opposite.
 
My husband just told me about this and I’ve seen a few conflicting reports also. He does have a heart condition and is partially blind, that has been confirmed. No other illness though.

In my expereince with my own elderly relatives, they can gave “bad spells” and then plateau. I do hope pope Emeritur Benedict does not suffer excessively, although I am sure he is offering any sufferings for all of us. :o

I pray that he is able to enjoy a nice long time of quiet and prayer in the monastery.
