I agree with MagicSilence (“o well there arent any condoms left, tonight ill take i chance”), and with the other poster who said that the disappearance of the condoms would just make the college think they need to buy more.

I.e. stealing them to throw them away is counter-productive; it won’t have the intended effect.

I do believe that you have the right to ask the college to remove them from the area of your door. It creates a “hostile environment.”

In the meantime, why not make a poster to put on your door? something like:

If the condom fails,
what will you do?
Get an abortion?
Abortion stops a beating heart.

For as long as the condoms are right in front of your door, I think you could also add a picture of an aborted fetus to the poster. - what’s that website with all the horrible pictures of murdered babies? PLAL knows it -

Someone will be sure to be offended by it, and you can then point out that you are equally offended by the condoms. When they remove the condoms, put a sticker over the picture that says “censored”! Or tape an index card over it that says, “Lift this to see what an aborted fetus looks like.”

In the meantime, if you can afford it, order a bunch of copies of this tract catholic.com/library/Birth_Control.asp
and leave them by the condoms, no matter where the college puts them. It will benefit the hosts of these forums as well as the readers of the tracts.

You may have to join - or even found! - a “Catholic club” in order to legally distribute literature. Does Yale have a Newman center, or a Catholic campus ministry? Someone there can help you out.

Oh, lookie, I’ve been up all night again. 😦 Am I still making sense?

I’m not sure which thing I said triggered this message. I agree that a person may not do a bad thing so that a good thing will result. Do you object to making a display to counteract the other display? I see nothing wrong with a display on your door, unless it violates dorm rules. Do you object to the display of a condom as immoral? Or is it that I suggested buying one to use in the display?

I would not have thought it fundamentally wrong to purchase a condom for some purposes, seeing as how they are regularly used in ultrasound tests for a legit purpose. They do not seem completely evil to me for that reason. However, buying one could be construed as material cooperation with an evil company. I hadn’t considered that at all. Is that what you wanted me to consider?
I think you’re mixing me up with the thread author.

Why dont you cmplain to the school that you are offended by them. If there was a wall decoration that was religiously offensive to another religion the school would pop up and take it down or move ity elsewhere so fast, they would pull somthing!
