I finally went to confession today and it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. The last time I had gone to confession was 15 years ago when I was 10 years old. Needless to say, I was very nervous but I ended up doing a face to face confession and the priest was so patient, kind, and helpful. 🙂

Of course it wasn’t. Confession is a beautiful humbling experience where we literally receive the forgiveness of God! Why would receiving forgiveness from anybody (Not to mention our Lord) ever be a scary situation? 😃

Welcome back! Healing, even of the spirit, is refreshing, rather than something to dread, or avoid. Now, you may look upon the crucifix with a clear conscience, and receive our Lord in the Holy Eucharist with complete thankfulness. Amen!

Greetings PerlaDelRosario,

I would say that not going to Confession would be scary.

I am always glad when people go to Confession and feel at peace afterwards. It’s very foreign in my mind that one can go to Confession and not feel at peace afterwards.

God Bless.

Well, as much as I love confession, yesterday when I went I didn’t have a feeling of peace right after, but that is because I thought I had committed sacrilege. It has now been said that I didn’t commit sacrilege, but I still didn’t feel the usual peace I do after confession. 😃

Greetings ATeutonicKnight,

Oh. Well thanks for bringing this foreign concept into a tangible reality for me. 🙂 I pray that you will be at peace.

God Bless.
