I have seen confiteor in both the Missal and Divine Office. But how do I pray it alone? If I want to say completorium alone.
You just say it. It can be in Latin if you’re using the LOTH in Latin or the 1961 Divine Office, the versions are somewhat different. Or you can recite it in the vernacular.I have seen confiteor in both the Missal and Divine Office. But how do I pray it alone? If I want to say completorium alone.
The Christian identity is a belonging to the Church, because to find Jesus outside of the Church is not possible. Pope Francis.I have seen confiteor in both the Missal and Divine Office. But how do I pray it alone? If I want to say completorium alone.
Now we just need to start reviewing the timeless, unchanging and unchangeable teaching about what the Church is and what “outside of the Church” means, so that more and more people, whether they consider themselves Christians or not, will finally start belonging to the Church. One step at a time. The Christian identity is a belonging to the Church, because to find Jesus outside of the Church is not possible. Pope Francis.
You say that too. Remember that the confiteor and the misereatur at Compline are not a sacrament but rather a sacramental. That is, they do not confer a valid absolution in the nature of the sacrament of reconciliation. Even nuns, in the absence of a priest, will say it at Compline. Then what about the misereatur?
Without a priest, it’s misereatur *nostri *(on us) … nostris. Then what about the misereatur?
