You now lash out at me because you can’t defend that statement about nuns. The clothing are almost identical in shape, size, and what they cover. mOst choose to dress that way, it is part of their religion and culture, just like the nun for Catholicism. Take a deep breath and count down from 10 to 1, find inter peace and live like Christ asked you too, lovingly and peacefully.

a previous post explained the nun idea…not all nuns wear the same…it depends on what nuns they are and what their dress means…not all nuns cover their hair completely…not all nuns cover they entire legs…not all nuns cover their feet finger…so when the nuns wear the same outfit as a sign of neglecting the outward appearance and modesty, they do NOT do it because they consider their bodies as filthy or sexual…nuns do not wear as they do because Jesus said : cover your beauty…mohammad did…to him everything in a female is sexual even her hair…this is NOT the Chrisitian viewpoint regarding the body. There is a great difference between a nun and a muslim outfit…the difference lies in the “why”.

As regards to attitude towards human body, this separates Islam and Christianity. While Islam sees humans body as insulting, sex object and something to be ashamed of, Christianity sees it as something beautiful, made in the image of God and the temple of the Holy Spirit (God).

Christians therefore would look at the opposite sex as the righteousness of image of God - looking at them as brothers or sisters first (in Jesus) and not as sex object. Thus there is freedom in the choice of dress we wear within the boundary of reasons because we know that we will not be despised.

There is a difference between condoning and respecting another religion. Condone is allowing and supporting, but respecting is knowing them and accepting them, but still holding on to your beleifs and sharing them, not angrily forcing them on others and attacking vrbally people of different beleifs. People don’t usually except when some white man goes and tells a black man that his race is wrong and is going to Hell, if somehow he doesn’t change his skin color. Mutual respect goes farther. (bad analogy I know, but couldn’t really think of something else off the top of my head)

Holy books are written by man and capable of misinterpretation and corruption. What is in the Qur’an may not be the will of God, but still the main basics of a Abraham God religion are present, so I still think they are in the right direction, just to many side roads to go through to get to the destination leading them the wrong way.

I know Christians have it bad in Muslim countries what is your point??? I’m not defending some of the extremist Muslim behavior, who is beating around the Bush now. I don’t care what kind of laws and Government I live under. As long as I can praise the God of my choice, which no one can stop, then I’m happy, my worldly life is meaningless when it comes to how I’m treated, it comes down to my salvation, how I treat others when treated that way. You have your priorities mixed up I think.

Jesus was and asked us to be too. This is what God called us to be sorry if you forgot to read the Bible, or the CCC, or ever heard a pope talk. Have you ever heard a story of a martyr or saint, their stories are usually being “doormats” while doing it for God and living accordingly to God’s will. The way of being a “doormat” has kept God’s Church alive and thriving for two thousand yers, so I think it works and is part of God’s will. I’m not the Judge God is and He has put forth the lwas He wants us to follow, remember that.
