Confusion over how we are saved

Yes. And Paul was writing to Jewish converts who insisted on performing the ritual works of the Mosaic law. Due to the horribly wrong and discredited man-made idea of bible alone, bible Christians are almost always 100% wrong on this. Copying and pasting Romans 3:28 does not solve anything - it merely points out their error and limitations.

Initial justification is by God’s grace through our faith. But life continues. Are we simply supposed to faith our way through life? Yes and no. We are expected to cooperate with God’s grace. Indeed, we will receive a reward for good acts - even for praying in private.

Another thing that so-called bible Christians seem to be horribly wrong/ignorant of is that 100% of scriptural references to our judgment - heaven or hell - are based on our works, what we have done.

i feel sorry for them, as they do not know their limitations, or the limitations of bible alone.

thebible . . . .
There is no confusion on how we are saved.

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved
Why do you think just “belief” is not enough to be saved thebible?

(You quoted St. Paul telling us we need to believe AND to carry out the work of confessing Christ with our mouth, which I as a Catholic Christian affirm.

And you apparently do too [which is good].

But I want to know “why” you see this work as necessary for your salvation as I think that will be helpful for some people with regards to how they interpret other verses concerning salvation.)

God bless.

Salvation is a process; I was saved, I’m being saved and I hope to be saved. Of course, if you hear anyone speak about salvation and they leave out Baptism, Chrismation (Confirmation) and the Eucharist, they are not preaching the apostolic faith. Clearly, what we do, how we treat others, is an expression of our faith so that is something we need to work towards as well. It’s the whole package.
