My husband has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure …

He will be seeing a pulmonary specialist and a cardiac specialist in the next few weeks … until then, our family physcian’s office is monitoring his condition … he was at the hospital for about 7 hours wednesday eveing …

Please pray for him … his lungs are still congested, he is weak and tires easily … he has been very strong, active and healthy … out working far younger men …

Last year he was injured - tearing the major artery that passes through the kidney -… he lost between 9 and 10 pints of blood- all internally, receiving three blood tranfusions … it was nearly fatal …and the recovery has been slow but steady - he was back to normal activity in about 4 months from the accident… he recovered from colon cancer in 2001 … now this 😦

Dear hubby will be 70 shortly and the man who chops and splits wood, hunts the hills [some hunting areas rise 1000 feet or more on a morning hunt] and a host of other physical activities … is out of breath moving across the room …

Please pray for his doctors and medical staff too, that they are able to help him and that I am able to provide the proper support …

And especially pray that he is able to mange his condition, regaining strength and stamina to pursue his interests and activities … thank you CA friends …it is so nice to have added prayer warriors …

Praying for your husband.

My mother was diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 20 years ago or more. She is still alive and healthy, but she had to make major changes to her diet. Bye, bye salt. She got used to it, however.

Thank you … I use little salt already … we won’t miss that much … except for the pop corn

He is not over weight, never was but after last years accident and the weightloss that followed …there is no extra in fact he needs to gain a little [wish I had that problem;) ] HE does have a heart murmur that has gotten increasingly noisy over the last few years … probably been there his whole life without causing problems … now rearing its ugly head …

We are still reeling somewhat … at least I am … after last years scare … I am feeling at a loss … this man is my love and my life … I am scared … at the same time I know that the medical profession with its tests and specialists works on its own time … in a month we should have seen all the specialists and have a plan of action …

It is just hard feeling so helpless to do something, any thing to make it all better … I even feel guilty for my feelings and fears … It is all about him really but I sure don’t want to lose him … I faced that last year … not ready to face it again so soon … teary … trying to be strong and up breat but not feeling very …

Praying hard for you, dear YADA, really hard…
Thanks, you know I have been praying for you and your dear husband and the girls …

Praise be to the Lord for his healing…

I hope all is still going well…

It cheers me to know that you are praying for us … God hears you because you are a faithful servant … many here at CA forums are great saints in the making …

My thanks to you OutinChgoburbs and the many others who have added your prayers to mine… May God Bless you in return!

Praying for your dear husband. I have congestive heart failure as well. I know the initial diagnoses is scary but there’s alot of things available medically to help your hubby. God will get you through this.
God Bless.

God Bless you for your post… I will pray for you as well.

Yes I know that we will be learning much over the next few weeks … both specialists are scheduled for early May …

Medical break throughs are coming every day … and I am praying that the doctors are able to provide good care for him and all of their patients … I am trying to keep positive and trust in God 🙂

Lord, your will be done.
Lord, your will be done.
Lord, your will be done.

But if it so pleases you, we ask you for mercy.

All glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

I have two family members with that condition. I will pray for your husband, you, and your family.

Father, we ask you to heal
this man’s heart of CHF.
Guide his doctors and nurses
to give him the best treatment
plans. Touch his wife and give
her the strength to overcome the
fear she has of losing her husband.
They have suffered so much already.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus.
AMEN

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.

My thanks to all of you for your prayers…

He is feeling better and fluid in his lungs is reducing - repsonding to the medications and to the healing that is a result of your prayers [and the prayers of our faith community and familly] - thanks be to Jesus and all of you …

I can hardly wait for the the appointments with the specialists so we can know exacly what we are dealing with and how we will manage this … Your words of encouragemnt have bouyed my spirits - giving me added strength to face the future with hope -thank you for the :grouphug: … GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU!

Please continue to pray for us,

My husband was doing better and decided yesterday to travel to where my mother is [we have a shop/garage in construction there] about a 3.5 hour drive …

Early this morning he called not well … we decided to have him call an ambulance and I headed on the road to meet him at the hospital … when I arrived they had decided to admit him …

now they are thinking about transfering him to OHSU [yes the 3.5 hours back] for more immediate heart ❤️ surgery …

His mitral valve is failing and actually now causing harm …

Please pray for his doctors and care givers …

And may God Bless you in return …:blessyou:
