The internet is a magnet at times for people to “throw bombs” at Christians…they can hide their identity, so no one really knows who they are, they say anything. That does not make it right…I think all of us feel wounded by all the Catholic hate directed at us on a regular basis, but say a prayer for these people. They are terribly misguided. Christ did tell us that to follow Him would mean we would be hated as well. Sometimes (as I’ve said in other posts) I feel as if I am literally hanging on to the hem of His robe. As long as we hang on tight!!!May God bless Fr. Suarez in his ministry!
But seriously, I’m disappointed (but not surprised) with most of the comments. Almost every article about the Catholic Church I read on the internet, if there’s a comments section, I’m assured of Protestants and Atheists alike coming to bash us. Really, it’s like everyone hates the Catholic Church these days, even if we’re doing things that are inherently good (such as Fr. Suarez’ healing ministry in the name of God) but that they refuse to recognize (or worse, attribute to the devil!). It’s at times like these that my faith is tested. It hurts being a Catholic, especially if we’re called un-Christian by the Protestants and plain gullible by the Atheists. Oh my, I think I need Fr. Suarez’ faith healing too!![]()
