Like another poster said here--------most of us cannot be priests for a variety of reasons----you are not the only one.
Would you be willing to be celibate in order to be a priest? That may be one reason you are refused service in the Church. maybe they feel they cannot take the chance of you giving in to yur SSA while you are being priest. The SSa is not a sin (although it is also “not good”), but acting on the SSA defintiely IS. That would make it a violation both of your priestly vows and a sin against God’s Laws.

To be REALLY honest, LCMS_NO_MORE, it is very presumptous of you to basically imply that priesthood is something something you are entittled to----and if people refuse you for certain reasons, like legitimate ones, as in, SSA, then they are heartless, bigoted people who have no compassion.
Let me reiterate what another poster said----------the priesthood is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT. So get off it if you can’t get your way, please.

Second, I said that I am disqualified for ANY form of service in the Church whatsoever because of what I’ve been cursed with. After all, as I’m a depraved homosexual. Just being homosexual is enough. I presided at a memorial service for a gay teen who ended his life years ago. His parents were conservative evangelicals. One factor which led to his ending his life…IMO…WAS the treatment he received from his religious family and friends. He came home one afternoon covered in food stuff…some of his classmates decided to teach the “fag a lessson”…his dad told him when he got home…“This is what you deserve…garbage covered in garbage”. His words to my niece who was a close friend of his and a member of the “Gay/Straight Alliance” at their high school.

He was called “abomination”…'evil"…“sick”…'twisted"…“a mistake” and of course “lost” and “hell bound”…he felt his parents didn’t love him…and neither did God.

His parents church refused to have his memorial conducted in the church meetinghouse…he was buried without ceremony by his parents…I was asked by my niece and some of his classmates to “say words” over his gravesite…it was a very sad and difficult service…

The suicide or attempted suicide of teens concerning their sexuality is quite high…some teens cannot handle the ostricision, insults, violence over perceived or real sexual orientation by family and peers.

This is such a sad story. I’ve been upset since I read it. “Garbage covered in garbage.” I almost started crying when I read that. Sometimes I feel the same way.

Knowing that hell awaits me on the other side is pretty much the only thing that keeps me from jumping in front of a train.

I have no idea why you think you are disqualified for ANY service inmthe Church; what do you mean? In both the parishes with which I am most familiar there are people with SSA doing things.

One worked with the RCIA program, 2 with the music program.

I think perhaps you need to talk with the pastor of your church about your desire to serve in some way and the reaction you seem to be getting when you volunteer.

I think, to me anyway, one of the most fundamental concepts of conservatism is to bear the burden of your cross while causing as little harm to those around you as possible. Homosexuals, seem to want to believe that their burden is far greater than anyone else and they should be allowed to tell everyone how heavy the burden they carry is. Or given a pass because they would be so lonesome and unhappy if it were suppressed. Well, everyone has their burden and some may be greater than others but if we were all to run around telling everyone that life’s not worth living if we cant be who we are then this world would be way more screwed up than it already is.

Personally, I don’t care if your gay. Just leave me out of it. And I’ll leave you out of my personal business. Gays aren’t the only ones who are forced to suppress desires.

Nope. Do a search for the word “homosexual” up above. I dare you. How many are supportive of the homosexual persons in their struggle to live right vs. how many are exactly what I said about how eeeeeeevil homosexual people are?

After you’ve done that, come back and talk.

You said that a majority of posters on this forum say that homosexuality is the cause of all societal ills. Since you made the accusation, why don’t you provide the evidence? Or do you just get to throw out accusations and expect everyone elese to provide the evidence to refute you accusation? That doesn’t sound very fair to me.
