I do not understand that. If it is ironic or what.
But disagreements and agreements are part of communication.
All those means are available nowadays.

It depends…
If one considers him a servant and treats him like a servant, one will know where the movement /motion is coming from.
It is an exercise,practice.
He is the Vicar of Christ.
But you are Roman Catholic,so you know this,I guess

I think we all need a good drop of something strong.

A petition for a formal correction is not disrespect, because the letter is clearly written out of a sense of love for the Pontiff. Indeed, the thing begins with imploring love through Christ to request a clarification over what the pope has written about communion for the divorced.

The Dubia written by the four cardinals, along with this, ought to provoke enough attention from the Holy Father so that he recognizes what he has written is causing confusion amongst the faithful.

Regardless of who signed it, whether Bishop Fellay did, is moot. He is a bishop, and he signed it. That is important. Scholars and theologians all over the world: signed it.

This is not the first time in the Church that such a document has had to be issued. Let us pray, rather than argue, for Divine Intervention in this trying time. Dissension is only what the Devil wants from us, but unity behind that which is right is what God requires.

Excuse me…this isn t the Dubia.
This is a letter from a latin name.org.
How can you tell if even the Cardinal disapproves of it?

Where is this coming from?

OK. It isn t my problem really…

Some posters are having trouble adapting to the freedom the new CAF has so far afforded to various perspectives. In the past, five moderators would have descended upon this thread the second the words “Pope Francis” and “shouldn’t” were detected in the same post.
Exactly. The old moderators acted like the ‘thought police’ and enforced their own brand of ultramontane Catholicism while preventing discussion of many important issues. This new forum looks better, allows free discussion, and accepts a variety of opinions. Some members are having a difficult time because they want to silence different viewpoints.

A written public correction of the pope is bashing him. It’s a public repudiation of his Godly work. I’m sure the pope gets corrected all the time… by atheists, humanists, etc. Now we can add priests and bishops to the list. No good work goes unpunished… or at least complained about. Ask Christ. I see a lot of similarities between the Pope and Christ, which means Francis is walking the walk. And Christ too was corrected by the religious establishment.

Nor did I say it was the Dubia. I said it came along with the Dubia; the variation of a theme upon. It is still a plea for a formal correction for.

One of love.

In other words, you mean like appeal to authority.

Yeah, let’s use those logical fallacies and see many people we see join—or more appropriately LEAVE.

OK, maybe I am being a little dense here, but how exactly does one sign a letter that has already been delivered?
I can see one supporting those who sent the letter, but, if such support was wanted/needed, I would think that the support would be given BEFORE said letter was sent.
