THey can put forth whomever they want. I’m done with the GOP and the Democrats. They can all go eat pie for all I care.Maybe we can put forth a Santorum/Ryan ticket in 2016.
I’m glad that you are speaking for yourself. I’m just wondering when the GOP will get a clue.I don’t fault people who voted for the Constitution Party’s Virgil Goode, I like that party’s platform but I did not vote for it. As for me, I’m not faulting Romney or the GOP, Romney made compromises in the past, but his is still an American story, of working hard to achieve success, he gives a whole lot to charity which dwarfs what Biden and Obama give to people. Romney may well have missed a number of Fundamentalist Votes but those would also be in the Red States for the most part.
The GOP did not fail me, just speaking for myself. Romney has created jobs.
Obama should be the one who is viewed as lacking compassion, trying to drive the coal industry out of business, not allowing those workers to get jobs, being big friends with big unions.
Yep. I wish the gop was the only party. Maybe it could happen. I remember in one election in u.s. history, I think the democrats were the only party. In 1824 I thinkAbortions would drop by 90+%.
Maybe next time we will have that perfect candidate.I’m glad that you are speaking for yourself. I’m just wondering when the GOP will get a clue.
If you ever want to win a national election again, you should. You don’t get more to vote for you from moving farther away from the middle. Romney is as moderate as it gets in the GOP and he still couldn’t win. You think someone more to the right would do better?Who wants that besides the liberals?
You tell em Deacon! One Holy Catholic and Republican Church LOLThere is enough blame to go around; especially in the group I belong to, the clergy. We send mixed and vague messages at best. You can look back in these threads and see people using the words of the bishops, including the bishop of Rome, to support a vote for a proven supporter of abortion.
The leadership of the Republican Party is in need of change, they are not preaching a consistent message. Is abortion wrong, or not? Its okay in rape and incest cases and in cases of the life of the mother, what? So murder is okay sometimes? It is just as stupid to say slavery is evil, except in Louisiana. (State of Louisiana was chosen at random because it is where I am.)
Another one, some abortion is bad, but the death penalty in this country is okay? No they are not equal in importance as far as intrinsic evil titles are concerned; but no one here in the USA can provide a situation where the DP is needed. We have the means to protect the sanctity of life, no matter how hideous we find that life. This is what God is asking us to do, protect the least of those among us.
What about immigration, what is the republican stance on immigration??? If I’m not mistaken every republican and democrat can trace his/her families back in the not so distant past to see they are descendants of immigrants them selves, what hypocrisy!
What about, I don’t know, you name it and you will see mixed messages. The Republican Party has no courage to say what they believe because they are afraid of the media, or they don’t know themselves, or a combination of the two. Thus you see groups like the Tea Party grow, and the Republican Party shrink.
This country is starving for a leader to step up and give good wholesome reasons to follow. With the entire Obama campaign being negative, it is obvious we have a vacuum where good leaders are concerned.
I’m not a big Paul Supporter but I could definitely vote for him, vote for all of them really. They had their chance with Ron Paul and they blew it.
Amen. In cases of rape,it is not the babies fault that a rape ocurred…so it is okay to kill the child? In the case of the life of the mother…if a three year old ran out in front of a car and the mother had the chance to push the child to safety while taking a direct hit resulting in certain death…most mothers would make that trade. The leadership of the Republican Party is in need of change, they are not preaching a consistent message. You are correct…the rebublican party needs to rediscover its identity.
The Republicans stood on principle, the Democrats give whatever they can away and call anyone who disagrees with them racists or bigots of some kind or whatever hurtful they can. The Democrats may well send us over the Financial Cliff. If you ever want to win a national election again, you should. You don’t get more to vote for you from moving farther away from the middle. Or maybe they can think in great ways like Barack Obama who would vote for live babies to die in the Illinois BAIPA. Oh, what great thinking that is!If you ever want to win a national election again, you should. You don’t get more to vote for you from moving farther away from the middle. Romney is as moderate as it gets in the GOP and he still couldn’t win. You think someone more to the right would do better?
On the radio this afternoon, a group of high school seniors (some of them voted) were interviewed about the election. Virtually the entire group supported Obama but had no clue as to the reasons why they supported him. One young lady said, " Even though he didn’t do anything in his first four years, I believe he has some good ideas, and he deserves another four years because of that."but a poorly informed public and mainstream media helped Obama.
Ain’t that the truth. Thankfully, that sentiment is far from universal. You tell em Deacon! One Holy Catholic and Republican Church LOL
But in reality…it should be. The democratic party is the party of abortion. The democratic party is the party of homosexual “marriage.” The democratic party tried to take God out of their platform. The democratic party loves the abortion mill …Planned Parenthood.Thankfully, that sentiment is far from universal.
Apparently not.But in reality…it should be. The democratic party is the party of abortion. The democratic party is the party of homosexual “marriage.” The democratic party tried to take God out of their platform. The democratic party loves the abortion mill …Planned Parenthood.
I could go on…but you get my point.
It is impossible for a Catholic (or any Christian for that matter) to support a democrat in good conscience.
I will re-phrase it for you.Apparently not.
Do you care to add anything positive to the discussion, or simply show yourself as what you are?You tell em Deacon! One Holy Catholic and Republican Church LOL
