Any form of hatred of human beings is an abomination to God and He particularly hates hypocrisy. What were we warned of in the last days? Men who are lovers of themselves, with no regard for God or others. In whatever way that manifests itself, that’s an abomination. So to consider hooking up with heretics who impugn the character and nature of God Himself, while pointing fingers at the misguided…that’s not something I can wrap my head around.
I don’t hate anyone. I hate these things and I don’t have to “tolerate” people who support them. To do so implies that I agree with them. If that looses me friends, so be it.

Yes and I know God let some walk away in Jn 6. But no one cleansing your church to my knowledge is God. None of us walk on water.
The Pope and the Bishops speak for God. “Keys to the Kingdom” and all that.

Why did God have Israel wander the desert for 40 years when the promised land was only a couple of hundred miles away from Egypt? Maybe the current generations of Catholics are intractable. Maybe they will never submit to the Truth, so they need to be tossed out into the wilderness so the new generation enters the promised land and submits to the Truth as God has revealed it.
Nobody’s tossing anyone anywhere. Our duty as Christians is to take the Gospel to the world. Where in all the accusatory, insulting rhetoric, is the Gospel being modeled to those in need of it? Those who can’t stand to be touched by ‘the rabble’ can go isolate themselves - we all know which group Christ chose to dine with.

Deacon Lapey says he and others are cleaning house and it’s going to get worse.

Ah, so they’re supposed to do what? “Purify” those who refuse to relinquish their consciences to the thought police? Sorry, that’s not how it works.

WASHINGTON—Six conservative leaders blasted Mitt Romney as a “weak, moderate” candidate and called for Republican Party leaders to resign a day after Democrats dealt the GOP a sweeping defeat in the 2012 elections. Brent Bozell, founder of the Media Research Center, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, and Jenny Beth Martin, national coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots, were among the press conference speakers who laid “the epic election failure of 2012” at the feet of Republican elites. Republican National Chairman Reince Priebus, Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Speaker John Boehner were all identified as individuals who “should be replaced with leaders more in tune with the conservative base of the Republican Party…"

I agree with with the TEA PARTY that some changes need to be made, but they owe me an explanation as to why Tommy Thompson was hung out dry for three weeks after their precious Mark Neumann lost in the primary.

The TEA PARTY at times has not known what it was doing. I can understand running Christine O’Donnell against Mike Castle. That I get. But Sharron Angle against the Senate Majority Leader? Or Carly and Meg in California?

One has to wonder if that is the very best we can do.

As far as the elites go…WHERE WAS OUR SUPPORT from these daunting SuperPacs in Arizona and Wisconsin? If we had such a big edge on money to spend, why were two of our Senate candidates left to dry for 3 WEEKS!

The purism and self-immolation of Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock will also have lasting repercussions, namely in our bid to retake the Senate in 2014.

If the pro-life movement wants to accomplish anything meaningful, they need to drop the purist third-party nonsense and get with the program on rape and incest.

But maybe they don’t. Maybe their main concern, especially on here, is scoring brownie points for the afterlife instead of saving babies. And I’m not terribly sure either reading what some of the Catholic clergy have written that voting for a purist will get you such gains as opposed to voting for Romney.

It won’t be long before Virgil Goode voters and the not-Romneys who sat on home doing who knows what will dearly regret their decision or they will start to sound like the liberal excuse-makers who that in 2012 it’s possible to vote democrat and get Communion.

Finally, I’m not drinking the North Dakota kool-aid after they elected Heidi Heitkamp. And who there elected her? No doubt a bunch of “independents” in the Eastern part of the state.

And people thought elitism was restricted to the axis of Hollywood, DC and NYC?

Well Congrats, and watch how Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer try and twist her, Joe Manchin and John Tester.

To quote Hannity: You get the government you vote for.

You don’t have to “tolerate”? What does that mean? You have no choice about sharing planet earth with them, unless some entrepreneur means to populate his own planet and invited you to come along…

Deacon, while you and your associates are cleaning, ask yourselves how you expect the ones you clean away to see the light if they are no longer in the pews? Once you cleanse them away, you’ll have less impact on their lives than if you hadn’t given up on them. Keep them around and only the Lord knows what He might do for their hearts in time. I wish you well.
I heard a missionary say something along the lines that the Holy Spirit makes converts all he did was dispense the truth. If these dudes cannot stand the heat get out. We do not need to worry about reaching anybody all we do is present the truth .Everybody has freewill to accept it or run from it.

No, demand that they conform their conscience to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, or recognize, publicly and official, that those who will not have placed themselves outside of communion with the Church. And that IS how it worked until Vatican II.

Who are these people that hook up with heretics? Who here impugns the character and nature of God?

There are alternatives, although they tend to be messy.

There have always been extremists on both sides, what is different here IMO, is the mainstreaming and the seeming acceptance of vile behavior and speech. Give John McCain that, in 2008 he refused to stoop or to accept this, even at the cost of losing.
John McCain is no political hero. He flip-flopped on immigration when it suited him and he thought he could win by being nice and that the media loved him because he was another entrenched incumbent.

The difference is that the democrat extremists not only control their party but are now in charge of this nation for at least another 2, probably 4 years.

This will be one very long night for this country.

Yes but the people cleansed out are not going to be there to hear Deacon Lapey or another member of the clergy teach what your church presents as the truth.
