Hello,
First post here. I have recently come across the Catholic Church and it’s teaching and am trying to learn more. A protestant all my life (simply because I knew nothing else). I know the Catholic Church claims to be the one True Church started by Jesus Christ. I would like to learn more on this issue. (ie…How am I to know that this is the one true church and not another?) My protestant friends all tell me the typical response of “the church is just anyone that follows Christ” when I talk about joining the Catholic church. They don’t see the need to be part of an institution. I can blow holes in the argument, but I would like more knowledge as to how the Catholic Church formed and developed over time.
Thank you in advance.
