How many here are contacting your US Senator regarding the recent nomination to the Supreme Court?

I encourage everyone to let your Senator know where you stand.

But instantly, Ms. McCaskill’s office was deluged. Voters lobbed profanities at her social media feed. Some threatened to get behind a Democratic primary challenger in 2018.
A Republican colleague, Senator John Cornyn of Texas, gleefully seized on a misleading news report placing Ms. McCaskill among a group of senators who purportedly said they would not filibuster the nominee.
By then, Ms. McCaskill had made clear she believed in a 60-vote threshold for confirmation. It did not matter. Leaving the Capitol last week, Ms. McCaskill, a typically voluble senator — from a state Mr. Trump carried by more than 18 points — had settled on a new approach.
“I’m not talking about the Supreme Court nominee at all, in any way,” Ms. McCaskill said. “I just don’t think it’s a good idea.”
Democrats from other conservative-leaning states have been eager to demonstrate an openness to Judge Gorsuch.
After meeting with the judge at his office last week, Senator Jon Tester, Democrat of Montana, urged his colleagues to “give him a fair shake.”
“He deserves that,” Mr. Tester said.
My letter to her did not have any profanity.

Her party lost the presidential election big time. She is feeling the heat.

Now is the time to let your Senator hear from you.

I saw a pig fly over my house last night. One of my hard core, as-left-as-you-can-get Senators is actually in favor of Mr. Gorsuch. :bigyikes: The other one, of course, is not, but we are making progress!

Up for re-election?

I got a response back from Claire McCaskill today. Pretty much standard non committal political answer. She did state she would not play partisan politics with her vote, so she is aware people are paying attention.

Please take the time to contact your Senator.

many of those people are very impatient with me because they don’t think I’m pure. For example, they think I should be voting against all of Trump’s nominees
This is my senator. She is feeling the heat from her party…but her party lost the Presidential election in this state by 18 points.

How is she going to vote? The pressure is on.

Please take the time to contact your U.S. Senator and let them know how you feel.

The attacks and fund-raising appeals started early this year and haven’t stopped.
Buoyed by Michigan’s turn from blue to red in the 2016 presidential race, Republicans have placed a target squarely on the back of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, who is up for re-election in 2018.
Let’s put some more pressure on her to remember to vote pro-life. Let’s remind her she is up for re-election and we want pro-life judges in office.

The Democratic senators likely seeking re-election in states won by Trump are:
Bill Nelson in Florida, where Trump won by a narrow margin.
Joe Donnelly in Indiana, where Trump won by 19 points.
Claire McCaskill in Missouri, where Trump won by 19.
Jon Tester in Montana, where Trump by 21.
Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota, where Trump won by 36.
Sherrod Brown in Ohio where Trump won by 8.
Bob Casey in Pennsylvania, where Trump won by a narrow margin.
Joe Manchin of West Virginia, where Trump won by 42.
Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, where Trump won by 1.
Let’s put some pressure on them to vote pro-life!

In Washington State, we have two Senators who invariably do the wrong thing. Absolute waste of time. Both shout out “Catholic!” when campaigning, then proceed to oppose the Church on every stinking thing for the next six years. Abysmal.

Sounds like my neck of the woods in California. I keep writing for principle’s sake but frankly don’t expect anything from them anymore other than that they will vote against Church teachings. They are consistent on that.
