Here is a series of facts about different Islamic things that you won’t learn from a Muslim:What would you say to a person who was contemplating Islam?

Tell them to do serious comparative religious research from the sources of both religions - the hadith and Koran for Islam, the Bible and Church Fathers for Christianity. Then tell them to seriously consider the situations behind each one, and consider the timeline from Judaism to Islam. This is what I did, and brought some stark realities that took me out of my spiel in Islam. What would you say to a person who was contemplating Islam?

I guess I would say that person was hiding under a rock on a bright sunny Tuesday morning. What would you say to a person who was contemplating Islam?

This is so misleading. Women can be ‘honor killed’ because in sharia laws there is no protection for her. She can be beaten because the koran sanctions it. She can be divorced easily by the man just saying ‘I divorce you’ three times. She cannot do anything without the consent of her husband and that means she has to get permission for any minute thing. There is no such thing as ‘safe houses’ under Islam because she is property of the men of her household - even her son(s).The most interesting aspect of Islam is that, unlike other religions, it is not named after its founder or the community and nation of its birth. Islam is an attributive title that signifies submission to God, Creator of the Universe. Whosoever possesses this attribute, may he or she belong to any race, community, country or clan is a Muslim. This includes the sun, moon, earth and stars since matter, energy and life all obey God’s laws and grow and change and live and die in accordance with those laws.
Islam teaches that all humans are innocent by birth and become sinful only when they consciously commit a sin. Sins are generally three types:
1.Those against God, by denying Him.
2.Against brotherhood
3.And against humanity.
Many people are surprised to find out that over 1400 years ago Islamic Law guaranteed rights to women that women in Europe and America only obtained in the 1900s. According to Islamic Law women have the right to:
1.own property, operate a business and receive equal pay for equal work
2.have total control of their wealth
3.marry whom they want
4.keep their own name when married
5.inherit property
6.have their marriage dissolved in the case of neglect or mistreatment
Nonie Darwish tries to tell people in her book, Now They Call Me Infidel, about the harm of polygamy. The jealousy between wives, the effects of it on the children including the sons. And too often we are seeing in our countries that they are nothing but welfare moms because the man cannot possibly support all their wives. We saw that example a couple of years ago when in NYC a house burned down with a lot of women and children in it. It was a polygamous situation. Unlawful here in the states, but some don’t care and do it anyway. One problem people have with Islam is polygamy, which is a pre-Islamic practice. Islam actually put restrictions on the unrestricted polygamy of the Arabs of the time, and put many laws in place to protect the wellbeing of women, like ending the pagan Arab practice of killing their baby daughters when they were born.
This is part of what they call dualism in Islam. The koran has both of these definitions of Jihad in it - the violence against the unbeliever being sanctioned as holy, and also it being defined as an ‘inner struggle’. Muslims use whichever definition suits their needs in this dualistic religion.Another problem people have is with the term Jihad, which many equate to holy war. But really, it’s an internal, personal struggle towards the attainment of a noble goal.
Islam is strange because not only what I stated above, but some things that you won’t hear from Muslims are things like deception being fully sanctioned in Islam. For a person born in the Western Culture, Islam may be hard to follow and seem strange but with understanding from research backed by proof a person can come to an understanding of why Islam is setup the way it is and finally come to submit (Islam) to the one true God. Even the Bible backs up that every knee shall bow down to God whether it wants to or not. The part where people say ….bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord is not in the Bible and is made up.
We are all responsible for our own salvation, find out the truth before it is too late. Open your mind. Islam may not be right for you because a messenger was sent to all peoples, but Islam is the closest to being right.
You might like this article. Muhammed made these rules up about sex, and then broke them.Islam’s claims are fairly wild IMO. Muhammad’s statements about how Allah first gave Judaism his love and the chance to be his chosen people only to walk away from him in favor of Christians who then became man-worshippers (Jesus) and finally Allah found favor with the Muslims, it just doesn’t jive with the Torah or NT.
Islam teaches that Ishmael was the favored son, not Isaac. Boloney. It teaches a warped version of the fall from grace in the Garden, a reverse story. It teaches a sketchy salvation history of bastardized stories from the Gospels and Old Testament with a touch of Muhammad’s take on things.
The way Islam treats women, the Martyr complex is unhealthy, the view of God is dark and depressing, and Sharia Law is full of honor killings, cruel punishments, prejudice, and other disturbing ideas.
Muhammad was a pedophile and a shaky character to say the least. He was also a war-monger.
My advice to one considering Islam? Don’t.
Excellent response! Islam is all about deception and yet there are many westerners who are infatuated by its very public and outward display of piety. That is nothing but a smokescreen to take in the unwary. They refuse to see what’s behind all that. This is so misleading. If a man rapes her, or she looks at a man wrong (basically if she has an overly jealous husband, she can be killed. In the case of a rape, she has to have 4 witnesses to it or she is treated as if she is the perpetrator of the crime.
If she is a child she can be married off and is to be sexually abused at an early age. Basically pediphilia is sanctioned because Muhammed did it.

And here are some things about Jihad you won’t hear when they are trying to ‘hook you’: jihad is taught as violent 97% of the time in islamic textss, while that ‘inner struggle’ is only 3% of jihad.

Here is a book that was just put out that would help anyone understand what they are getting into with Islam. The Complete Infidel’s Guide to the Koran
- The parts of the Koran they tell you that is peaceful were abrogated, or replaced. This being a dualistic religion, like I stated above, they use whatever surah is best at the time. And since there is no order to the Koran it is hard to tell which is which (well, unless they are blatantly violent).
- sharia laws sanction slavery and pediphilia.
- Islam is just as much a religion as it is a political movement, and it exerts control even over you going to the bathroom, and some things you do in bed. (which Muhammed didn’t even obey - he laid down some rules and then promptly broke them) here is a good little writeup on that.
- killing, torturing, stealing from, and deceiving unbelievers is ok under sharia laws which muslims obey as much as they can even in countries that are not totally controlled by them - and they work to making them the laws of the land to replace ours
- all muslims must pay zakat (muslim charity) and that one of its targets are jihadists and their families who kill, torture, etc unbelievers.
- they don’t tell you that lands not under sharia laws are considered the realm of war (dar al harb) and they strive to get sharia laws in place. Since Jihad is neverending, they work towards that end no matter how long it takes.
The religion may not be named after Muhammad but it’s all about him all the same. He made himself Allah’s partner and made sure that obeying him was the same as obeying Allah! He redefined sin and whenever he wanted something, he conveniently received a “revelation” from his alter ego Allah! The most interesting aspect of Islam is that, unlike other religions, it is not named after its founder or the community and nation of its birth. To know Islam one must know Muhammed. Muhammed=Islam. And unfortunately Muhammed was not a very moral guy AFTER he invented Islam. And he would justify his immoral behavior by his god that he invented. It was like he was giving all his followers an out for their atrocious behavior by saying ‘god made me do it’.The religion may not be named after Muhammad but it’s all about him all the same. He made himself Allah’s partner and made sure that obeying him was the same as obeying Allah! Islam is not “right” as you call it. Only someone incapable of telling the difference between good and evil would claim that.
