the great part is all of the cultures are different but at the same time they are same:thumbsup: thats the brotherhood in islam.

and sure you can pray in your own laguage, but the 5 daily prayers are supposed to be in arabic, after you are done with the ritualistic prayers most muslim pray in their own lanugage with their own words

finally , we have something to agree with
yes , i alse believe that in islam we can’t separate the teaching of islam from the state , actually we have to establish islam in our state to bring the peace to the world
Peace?! Ummmm what peace? Islam only brought instability to the world.

Exactly. You all worship according to the Arabic Qur’an, and don’t ask why.

This is not news. No one in this thread who has objected to the Arabism inherent in Islam has denied this. What has been explored is WHY this is so. There is no good reason for it, unless you already accept the Islamic reasoning for it (e.g., unless you are a Muslim). I explained this in my clarification to Tomarin several posts ago.

It’s no problem to me if you want to pray in the mode of a 6th century Arab, but don’t tell me that this is something for all humanity. I’ll pray in Arabic if there’s some reason to, but not as a part of the straightest path to God on some sort of “mystical journey” like Elwill and that Islamic “Dr.” he quoted/stole from for his posts full of useless Islamic propaganda. That’s all BS. My God is not an Arab. He is the maker of the Arabs, and the Armenians, and the Amazight, and the Somalis, and the Belgians, and every person/nationality/ethnicity. He listens to “salat” in every language, and does not require us to try to be anything we’re not.

God will judge us in the hearafter by the amount of “hasanat” / good deeds and “saiat”/ bad deeds
all what what i meant by rewards is the "hasant "
So by growing a beard, it is already considered a good deed? Please explain more about the beard thingy… I remember on tv the taliban enforced it, I want to understand why its a big thing.

I’m still waiting for an answer from elwill for what the rewards are for growing a beard…!!!

there are muslims,so called salafies, who want to follow the prophet and his sahabas in everything…so they let their hair grow, and also the beard just because the sahaba and the prophet used to have long hair and beard

its called to follow “the ahlul sunnah”

there is no reward for that, the salafis just think its good to do that,to follow ahlul sunnah.

The Koran is the word of God,real words of God…thats what we believe, and since Gods words are holy we pronounce them as they were given to the prophet…because it can never be 100% same with a translation.A translation of the Koran is always a translation and never Gods word

thats why we perform salat in the language of Koran(not the modern arabic, because the arabs of today have it very hard to understand the old language of the Koran)

One of our muslim members stated that “there is a reward” for growing a beard.

I want to know what the reward is for growing a beard.

So you pronounce them in the language of the Quran even if you don’t understand what it means? Islamic logic always leaves me :whacky: :hypno:.

Beam me up Scotty! :takeoff: Can’t take it any more! 😃

This statement falsifies the claim by muslim and islam that this religion is universal and it’s for everyone and that the prophet of islam is for all mankind.

Mankind does not speak Arabic.

what tells you we dont know what it means? all muslim children learn in sunday schools to recite the most important suras in arabic and in their own language, they can recite it in both arabic and their own language…so its impossible not to know what it means

plus,a translation of the Koran is th easiest book to find *😉

But yet, when translated it’s no longer the Word of God, correct?

Thanks for confirming what I already have written several times in this thread, Bosnian_Muslim. Again, no one cares if you choose to pray like a 6th century Arab, but the logic behind it (to the extent that it can be called logic) only works if you already buy into Islamic claims. So when you or other Muslims tell us that Islam and the Qur’an is for all humanity, we respond “NO”, because it is not. It is for Muslims only, because only Muslims will accept Arab supremacy fed to them by their religion. It is most certainly NOT for all humanity.

sign, sign everywhere a sign
blocking out the scenery is breaking my mind
DO this, DON’T do that, can’t you read the sign…

This is what islam is to me!

I want to restate my point from earlier that Islam has been embraced by and in turn been transformed by people from many different cultures throughout the centuries, so how does it constitute Arabic supremacy exactly?

Don’t forget that the central object of veneration in their religion is not a Divine Person, as it is in ours, but a Divine Book. The fact that the book was revealed in Arabic should not, on the surface of it, disqualify it from having a universal message, it seems to me.

It does if you can only truly understand the message in the original language, Arabic. Muslims will tell you that translations are not equivalent.

A “universal message” has to be understood in so many languages that we all speak here on earth.

According to the muslim member poster above if you use a “translation” it is “never Gods word”.

sorry but thats not what i said…a translation can never be Gods word because God “said” those words in arabic…it doesnt mean that the message is lost after the translation
