I know it is a sin to use contraception in a marriage to avoid pregnancy but what if you are already pregnant? Can you withdrawl or other means because there is no chance of new life?

A doctor told a friend that if she kept taking bc pills while she is pregnant with a boy it will be a homosexual.I know it is a sin to use contraception in a marriage to avoid pregnancy but what if you are already pregnant? Can you withdrawl or other means because there is no chance of new life?

What would be the purpose? I see no reasoning to change how you feel about the nature of the act because of an existing pregnancy, anymore than I would think you would change the nature of the act if you thought you were too old to have children.

Strictly speaking it’s not contraception, because there is no possibility of conception; pregnancy is sort of like menopause that way.
It’s probably better to look at the motivation for such acts: again, why would one do it? After all, here’s a chance to have intercourse without worrying about having an unplanned pregnancy, right?

From my understanding the OP is asking when she is pregnant can she do some other “actives” and my answer is most likely not because it is not ordered.

The question is (aside from the fact that it’s immoral), why would you use ABC when you’re already pregnant? It’s like the proverbial locking the barn door after the horse or the cow got loose (if it were moral at all). You can’t get pregnant again when you’re already pregnant: you don’t ovulate when you’re pregnant since the pregnancy hormones put that function on hold till the baby is born.

My question would be why would anyone want to deny these benefits?In fact, the results aren’t a complete surprise because semen does contain several mood-altering hormones, including testosterone, oestrogen, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinising hormone, prolactin and several different prostaglandins. Some of these have been detected in a women’s blood within hours of exposure to semen.

Pregnancy: Already pregnant, conception cannot occur
Menopause: No ovulation, conception cannot occur
Both similar in this way, so really no need for contraception, in fact contraception not possible since conception not possible. So, from the aspect of contraception, both are similar.
So, what’s left, as you point out, is the completion of the marital act as ordered.

Also what about if she is uncomfortable, which is what pregnancy can do, so technically the man can masturbate and as long as the woman puts the seed in her it is okay.? Seems very technical.
