Well 500 years are a lot closer than a 100 000 years. Still don’t see it coming together for you to make any point whosoever!

You may think you answered anything. But let’s be clear. You did not.

Maybe I am going about this wrong. Lets break it up.
  1. A married couple … what should they do regarding marital relations if one is HIV+
  2. A country (like my own) is paralysed in a way because the workforce is HIV+ or have full blown Aids. What can they do? This is a problem of huge proportions affecting everyone here in some way. What can we do?

You may think you answered anything. But let’s be clear. You did not.
You asserted pregnancy wasn’t a deterrent for promiscuity 500 years ago. I disagree. Clearly raising a baby 500 years would have required significant sacrifice and thus would be a deterrent (the degree may vary). Your response was that 500 is less than 100,000. You didn’t provide an answer.

You asserted someone is “innocent” if they marry someone that contracts HIV and I simply pointed out not if there were warning signs that the spouse was going to be a serial philanderer. Your response was that this isn’t always true, which was a strawman since I said “not 100%” will there be warning signs.

We simply disagree on these topics, which is fine.

False: abortion and forced sterilization are killing people.

Nothing from Salon should be considered reputable- after all, they tried to defend pedophiles ~2015 by letting one explain how they intentionally put themselves in situations involvong children but “swear” they’d never do anything (I think they worked in a school)- only to delete it after Milo Yiannopoulos defended someone who’d abused him as a teenager and lambasted him, all to score political points. They’re unreputable, seeking only to promote their political views, and can safely be ignored. In fact, feel free to ignore anyone who suggests that preventing and terminating life is actually preserving it.

This is exactly why I posted another question regarding today and realistic problems. It is the one right above the one you “answered” with.

I realised we are worlds apart and did not see the significance in continuing that. Maybe try the real world questions 😉

I saw other questions and thought they were great, unfortunately they were accompanied by “you may think…let’s be clear…you did not” silliness.

Well in all honesty you did not. And I welcome any other poster to defend that he/she did.

No Mr./Mam You did not answer anything. So for me to try and establish if you can, I ask a question
  1. Related to todays problems.
  2. Actual issues the world is experiencing
  3. Not my or your opinion on the past.
  4. If you answer can be used.
  5. To see if you grasp the REALISTIC issues the world is facing.
Where a simple “just do not have sex” is the most ridiculous answer imaginable.

So again. Even relating to this very thread and its intention. What do you say?

Living in a country that has a huge HIV and Aids number accompanied by a workforce that is largely paralysed by the epidemic I…
  1. Welcome free condoms in all government facilitated buildings (bathrooms).
  2. Programs in schools trying to point out all the dangers (yes abstinence as the best deterrent).
  3. Aids awareness programs. Getting people to test themselves (obviously being afraid and not getting tested can put others at risk).
All this is working at some level. Yet my biggest issue is that because the government is so inefficient, they do NOT get free condoms to all government buildings all the time.

You in South Africa? Seems like things like Government sponsored genocide would be higher priority? That tends to “paralyze the workforce”, particularly the workforce that is feeding everyone there.

In the face of AIDS, this is the most ridiculous answer imaginable.
To be infected with AIDS and still have sex with people who do not is criminal.
How do you rationalize infecting another person with AIDS? That they should take on that risk?

You have just demonstrated how this infection has spread. The attitude that being chaste, even though infected, is ‘ridiculous’. THEN to demand that the rest of the world come in and fix this problem. Who is being unrealistic?

Fair point. If you cannot answer the question I posted then I am happy to converse on that topic? I am more than informed on that presumption as well. But that is not the point here.

You dont like my answer, no need to keep being petulant. I am honestly curious to discuss SA. Feel free PM me if its off topic as I dont want to derail thread.

Okay.

You just made me go “did I say something there”?

So I read my comment again. And I have no idea what you are presuming.

I did not demonstrate anything. Please read my other posts here as well. You are misunderstanding… (quite a lot).

Again. Read the rest of my posts. That is not what I am saying.

Oh I have no desire to discuss SA yet I will if that is another’s issue (as it seems to be yours asking about it and ignoring my very long thought out questions to get us one the same level REGARDING THIS VERY THREAD).

I know I am going to sound like “those guys” but does this mean you chose not to respond to the thread related questions I talked about “so many times” in the last hour? That I referred to… so many times!
