‘Catholic counsellors endorse this opinion. One of them says, "Catholics opt for contraception because it is convenient, it is less difficult. They are not bothered about the right way.’’’
It’s supposed to be news that people will sin because it’s easier than not sinning? And that other people will endorse their sin - again because it’s easier than the alternative?

As a father of nine children, I will testify that it’s a challenge to raise a large family today. But the blessings outweigh the sacrifices. However, we probably spend less money than many people we know with few or no kids. A lot of it has to do with not getting caught up in the materialistic consumer world that we live in.

This is what I was thinking too.

STOP THE PRESSES! MANY CATHOLICS PREFER TO SIN RATHER THAN FOLLOW CHURCH TEACHING!

In other news, the sun rose today, the Pope is Catholic, and it may rain in the Portland Metro area…

We had our 7 children when “the rythmn” was around. We don’t regret a large family and it taught all of us many values. I do wish NFP would be talked about more. If I was starting a family now, that is the way to go…working with God.

How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers. -Mother Teresa

Ignoring clear Church teaching, which is for the benefit of all, is more convenient.

Jesus said, If you love me keep my commandments.

Marriage is about mutual self-giving.

Peace,
Ed

“Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried.” - G.K. Chesterton

Often quoted, I am sure, but right on the mark.

Lily, I like your take on this.
