While I didn;t personally like the pill because it seriously affected my sex drive among other things. I never felt like a machine nor did I feel unconnected to my husband or anything like that.
Yes they do ring a bell but the earth was barely populated at the time…now we have close to 7 billion people. Not saying all should stop procreating…but some people not procreating is probably a good thing at this point. Many of these “so-called” studies are estimates and also rarely discuss the advances in medicine as well as the number of countries with longer life expectancies because of medicine. Much of the starvation in the world is because of struggle over political power and really silly environmental hysteria case such as the San Joaquin Valley where farms are shut down because our government decided to save a minnow rather than provide for millions.
Also, do the words, “be fruitful and multiply” ring a bell?
I must ask, do feel the Bible relates to today’s world?Yes they do ring a bell but the earth was barely populated at the time…now we have close to 7 billion people. Not saying all should stop procreating…but some people not procreating is probably a good thing at this point.
No not that one, but this one.I’m guessing you’re referring to Luke 23:28-31, in which case I would point out that Jesus is saying “for in deed, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed,’ At that time people will say to the mountains, ‘Fall upon us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ for if these things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?”
I think it is important to note that it is the people who are saying “blessed are the barren” not God. God had told us not to consult with fortune tellers and those who try to predict the future because no one knows the day. Yes, life and society today seems very bad, but God does not want us to live as if the world is going to end. Live justly and correctly in case you die today, but do not stop loving (which is what every child is) simply because the physical world will not last forever.
Please let me know if you were thinking about a different quote.
That kind of sounds like the fall of Isreal to the Romans in 70 AD. Not only that but Jesus never said don’t have children in that reference, He merely stated that it will be a hard time for the Jews. Have you ever considered that the lack of children in this society also parallels the increased divorce rate???No not that one, but this one.
Luke 21:20 ¶ "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
21 "Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
22 "For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 "**But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! **For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
You are correct Jesus didn’t say ‘blessed are the barren’ but He didn’t condemn it either. He reported what will happen.
I do not see where you got the idea that Jesus is saying it is “wise” not to have children. “Woe” indicates the suffering and pain that will occur at that time, but that does not mean mothers should avoid children in order to avoid pain. Jesus showed us that we should not fear suffering for the sake of love.No not that one, but this one.

aafp.org/afp/991101ap/2073.htmlSo says mommy of twins conceived whilst taking the pill. Every day. At the same time. Without fail.
For Pete’s sake, the side effects SUCK, and it didn’t even work. Why bother?
!
I’m well aware of what the pill manufacturer says. When you’re the 1, though, it’s small consolation that it’s effective…for everyone else.aafp.org/afp/991101ap/2073.html
‘Whereas only one of 1,000 women who take oral contraceptive pills “perfectly” becomes pregnant within a year, 50 of 1,000 women who take the pills “typically” become pregnant within one year.’
You were that one out of a thousand. You suggest it doesn’t even work? The science proves it works 99.9% of the time when used perfectly.
I’d say that that’s some stellar performance!![]()
HahaIn case anyone was worried about repopulating the world after a nuclear war, rest your fears. These ovaries have GOT IT COVERED! We’ll be back to 6 billion in a blink!
Tx. I tend to, uh…go on a bit.HahaI enjoyed your post - a little weird, but funny
God Bless
Uhm, my source isn’t the manufacturer, it’s the American Academy of Family Physicians.I’m well aware of what the pill manufacturer says. When you’re the 1, though, it’s small consolation that it’s effective…for everyone else.![]()
So, I’m not alone!!!Not at all, not in the slightest. I felt more like a machine when we were trying to have a baby.
Sure pack more people onto the planet, a 100 billion sounds about right…earth will never run out of natural resources, fresh water and land to grow food! Many of these “so-called” studies are estimates and also rarely discuss the advances in medicine as well as the number of countries with longer life expectancies because of medicine. I’m glad we can agree on something.Yeah, all that over population jazz is a myth.
Yes, pack more people (with brains) onto the planet. Hey, maybe one of them will find the cure for cancer! You know what they say, two heads are better than one.Sure pack more people onto the planet, a 100 billion sounds about right…earth will never run out of natural resources, fresh water and land to grow food!
Yeah, all that over population jazz is a myth.
it really is. if you took the entire population of the world, and stood them shoulder to shoulder, they would only cover the state of texas. also i assume you are from canada. love it there. but have you ever been up north. plenty of room yet. and we have the desert southwest in the states. again plenty of room. as far as natural resources go, we have the same amount of water now, as when the world began. its a cycle. and im sure, the Creator gave us our brains for a reason. we can figure out a way to increase resources. they are already doing this in states like maine, where the logging industry is big. they replant trees to replace the ones they cut down. in fact there are more trees now than when they began logging. not too difficult. maybe ill move to canada and add one more american to yalls population. walkerton is a nice town!Sure pack more people onto the planet, a 100 billion sounds about right…earth will never run out of natural resources, fresh water and land to grow food!
Yeah, all that over population jazz is a myth.
He didn’t say keep having them. That kind of sounds like the fall of Isreal to the Romans in 70 AD. Not only that but Jesus never said don’t have children in that reference, He merely stated that it will be a hard time for the Jews. Have you ever considered that the lack of children in this society also parallels the increased divorce rate???
