Probably only the Asian students were really in a position to be that generous.I’m surprised that none of those students were willing to donate just a few points of their GPA score to less fortunate students.

One of the ironies of all this is the position of the “Arab minority”. They are, by and large, as dark as any Hispanic (except a lot of Cubans, who are much lighter, and a fair number of other Hispanics). They are treated with some degree of suspicion; much more so than, say, a Cuban, regardless of their religion. Some of them are recent arrivals and don’t have the command of English or the “cultural literacy” that some others do. Some arrive fairly well off, but a lot of them don’t. But they are not considered members of a “minority” for any purpose whatever. They are entitled to no preferences or protection in anything, unless they’re Muslim, and then only protection against religious discrimination. But a Christian Arab? He’s in the same category as a White, Anglo-Saxon protestant for all purposes. What does it say about Democrats that they need to have voting blocs dependent on them in order to get their vote? Do they not have any confidence in their candidates and platform that they’ll just make the voters dependent on them? And what does it say for those voters that fall for it?
Now on the bake sale. Full disclosure: I’m Cuban-American, so I would be considered hispanic. I first heard about it on John Stossel’s program. Seriously, I think we went from one extreme to the other. From preferring only whites to preferring everyone but whites. How hard is it to look back and obey our founding documents “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator, with certain unalienable rights…” It seriously makes me wonder if anyone is reading and obeying our founding documents.
This sounds like something my College Republicans group would love to do, we wouldn’t get the go ahead from our PC administration that’s all about not making other ethnicities feel bad. However, I do love the “grade redistribution” petition a College Republicans group did a while back. youtube.com/watch?v=lOyaJ2UI7Ss
I am simply noting something these organizations have in common.Your attempt to connect me with those organizations is insulting and fails. Please feel free to talk to the wall.![]()
we have one of those on my campus. People mainly just write jokes on it. hahaAnd for controversial club projects. The campus libertarians I’m a member of want to do a free speech wall.
Just as you could come out and let everyone here know that you were oh, so wrong, and now believe that affirmative action is the greatest event since the writing of the Constitution.Of course, you could come out and let everyone here know you believe affirmative action to be wrong.
. I thought that “prejudice” was a loaded term? You are correct that is discrimination based on race and genderand and killing of the unborn are cornerstones of the Democrat party and if somebody supports racial determination and killing the unborn they should indeed vote DemocratJust as you could come out and let everyone here know that you were oh, so wrong, and now believe that affirmative action is the greatest event since the writing of the Constitution.
As you are one of those who oppose affirmative action please vote Republican and work to have it abolished. There are plenty on this Forum who will support such an effort. As for me, I am a Democrat and will support Affirmative Action, one of the cornerstones of my party’s outreach to the disadvantaged and prejudiced against.
Byt the way, I am as wholly unimpressed by any arguments against it as I am unimpressed by arguments against the pro-life position.
Let us go in peace to serve the Lord.![]()
Interesting.Byt the way, I am as wholly unimpressed by any arguments against it as I am unimpressed by arguments against the pro-life position.
Saying that I am unimpressed by pro-choice arguments is taking a swipe at pro-life positions? Interesting point of view, yours. You are taking swipes at pro-life positions.
I believe that you make the same claim. Is your profile erroneous?Your profile claims you are catholic.
Is the profile in error?
Rich said he was UNIMPRESSED by arguments against the pro-life position.Interesting.
You defend race based prejudice.
You defend sex based prejudice.
You are taking swipes at pro-life positions.

Thanks, Christine. Whether that’ll convince VZ is debatable.Rich said he was UNIMPRESSED by arguments against the pro-life position.

Well, you did leave it wide for interpretation. No one on this thread thus far has introduced anything concerning a pro-life argument, yet for some reason you felt compelled to.Saying that I am unimpressed by pro-choice arguments is taking a swipe at pro-life positions? Interesting point of view, yours.
My profile is not erroneous, it is an accurate representation. I am Catholic.I believe that you make the same claim. Is your profile erroneous?
OK, read the thread…Rich said he was UNIMPRESSED by arguments against the pro-life position.
Nor is mine erroneous. Happy now?My profile is not erroneous, it is an accurate representation. I am Catholic.
Is your profile in error where it specifies your religion as catholic?
He threw that in because you questioned his faith affiliation. You’re not supposed to do that. You’ll get banned. I like your posts too much to see that happen.OK, read the thread…
WHAT arguments?
Nor is mine erroneous. Happy now?![]()
Arguments against the pro-abortion position need not appear in every last post in every last thread. You can scout the Forum yourself to find them.OK, read the thread…
WHAT arguments?
By post 371 in this thread (where the comment is), no one had questioned it.He threw that in because you questioned his faith affiliation. You’re not supposed to do that. You’ll get banned. I like your posts too much to see that happen.![]()
My apologies.Arguments against the pro-abortion position need not appear in every last post in every last thread. You can scout the Forum yourself to find them.![]()
The other way around. He questioned my faith allegiance first. I replied sarcastically. He threw that in because you questioned his faith affiliation. You’re not supposed to do that. You’ll get banned. I like your posts too much to see that happen.![]()
