“God really has His own way of doing things.”
I know this quote was on the website and I understand the meaning but sometimes this doesn’t come across very well with some who think it must mean that God burned down the convent. I am reminded of the many times that God was there taking care of us even when times were difficult and often through the generocity of others. And sometimes we put off needed repairs or upgrading because we think the money could be better used elsewhere. But eventually a problem gets to the point where it can no longer be avoided. But somehow we manage to get through it all and in better condition than before the crisis hit. Matthew 6 : 31-33 *So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’*32All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.33But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides.

Hi,

yes, I think it could be misinterpreted. But I am sure most of us will understand it.

I went to the link posted to find a way to make a donation, but couldn’t find one. Is there a way to help for us over here?

You have to send an email to Sr. Christine. She doesn’t go online often. It can take a few days to hear back.

Here is the reply I received after I emailed Sr. Christine:

Greetings from Zambia. Thank you for your concern and encouraging response on our burnt convent. We are accepting any form assistance ranging from funds for rebuilding the convent or any material form because household goods were equally destroyed. Money donations can be sent by check to Sisters of the Child Jesus, and other materials through the Superior General, Sisters of the Child Jesus, P.O Box 410072, Kasama, ZAMBIA.
May God bless you abundantly.
