One of Chicago’s leading doctors in his field of IVF and reproductive technology, he had long ignored Catholic teaching about his practices. His reawakening in the Catholic faith began after his parish priest asked him to step down from the pastoral council, and then he found that the Church’s warnings about what would happen were actually taking place. In 2010 he walked away from his practice and entered the confessional to repent, happy for his reunion with the Church. Now he is getting ready to set up a health center loyal to Catholic guidance in this field.
