Lord, we continue to beseech Your favor in the softening of the heart of our appointed leader. May he reflect on the blessing of life that he received, and ponder the loss of life in those who have died in the womb. Cause him, O Lord, to recall that under his own mother’s circumstances, he was spared that same death in the womb - that he was not a simple, disposable choice, but a blessing of life given by You. May he seek not human knowledge, which is folly, but Divine inspiration. We ask this through our risen Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
