Almighty God, you have blessed us with this wonderful land and this beautiful creation.
Lord, you created us in your image and redeemed us by your Holy Cross and your Glorious Resurrection
Holy Father, you send forth your Spirit, and you renew the face of the earth.
As your Holy Church, redeemed by your blood and raised from the dead by your Resurrection, we ask you to give the Gift of Repentance to your Children, Barack, Nancy and to all of those in positions of authority in our country who believe that Abortion is a Woman’s Right, who argue that Fetuses aren’t really Human Beings and shouldn’t receive legal protection, who argue for “same sex marriage” in spite of the obvious harm to the children and the Sacrament of Marriage that you instituted and made Holy for the benefit of society and for the raising of children.
We beg that those in authority who would try to kill of the elderly and disabled would see that they, too are made in your image, and that the “Quality of Life” isn’t what makes life valuable or gives life its dignity.
We pray, Lord, that we would all repent of our lukewarmness towards you and those you have made in your image. Give us a love of your people second only to our love of you, so that we may once again “Turn the world ‘upside down’”.
This, we ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, World without end.
