Goes to show how tough prosecutors’ jobs are, I guess. Especially in Chicago. Been there.
 
So I guess he’s paying a $10,000 fine without it being called a fine. Pretty strange.
 
I just saw this story and have to admit this cries of injustice. I thought they had a strong case - lots of evidence. What happened?

Hoping he will not be doing celebratory
interviews.
 
Maybe they were angry with the Mueller
Report findings and decided to give
Jussie a pass?
I find this very strange to say the least.
 
I would not be surprised.

This is all political. In the world of politics, nothing happens by chance. Do not be surprised.

We do not know what is found in the Mueller report.
Perhaps you mean to suggest that it was in response to Barr’s decision not to prrosecute Trump for obstruction of justice.
 
I find it strange for the mayor Rahm Emmanuel to be on the same page as the
police superintendent.
I guess punishment for hate crimes doesn’t apply to everyone?
 
I have no idea what happened in this case but then again, I don’t think anyone here does. Why the belief that somehow this is a miscarriage of justice?
 
No, I did see that – and the separate thread about it. It just doesn’t seem to prove anything as yet. I’d wager there are many unanswered questions at this point.
 
The unanswered questions are backroom deals and arm twisting that you will likely never know the details of.

It is fascinating. This at the same time at Mueller/Barr.
There are investigations. There are decisions to by attorneys to pursue charges or not.

And people, without access to the facts, have such strong opinions - one way, in some cases, the other in others - about justice, witch hunts, hoaxes, miscarriages of justice, …

Fascinating.

This is a true miscarrige of justice.

There were literally hundreds of hours of police time put in on this case.

That is a diversion away from other crime.

It appears to me anyway, that this has a lot of liberal parallels with the Russian collusion hoax.

Leftists abusing the legal system and giving one another a “pass”.

In President Trump’s case they used a phony Dossier to PUSH charges falsely.

In the Jussie case they used a phony “hate crime” to PUSH charges falsely.

Both cases fell apart.

Now the Cook County prosecutors are allowing this in spite of a phony case and hundreds of hours of taxpayer funded police investigative work. Either that . . .

. . . Either that . . . or those “conservative haters” at the Cook County DAs office are going to let a couple of MAGA cap wearing marauders keep terrorizing the city! 😉
