EWTN’s policy is to not air the programming of of ANY priest whose priestly faculties have been suspended for whatever reason. Although I hope Fr. Corapi is innocent, you cannot trust everything you read on the internet. The only evidence we have of Fr. Corapi’s innocence are messages that appeared on his website. Right now all we have are a bunch of claims. Let the process go through. People who have been widely regarded as good have been proven otherwise before. Just, let’s not jump to conclusions.
Again, I hope Fr. Corapi is innocent, and would be disappointed if it turned out he was not. I do not know him personally, and neither do most people who have weighed in on the subject. All we know is what we have been fed. By Fr. Corapi. If he is innocent, I’ll breathe a sigh of relief with you, but I have no reason to believe the testimony of an accused man whom I’ve never met and who seems to be controlling the flow of information (all of the discussion is based on what has appeared on his website, nothing has come from the accuser).
I also am hesitant because the Santa Cruz, inc message claims to be a secular institution, and yet the message is overtly religious in tone. Religious ≠ Secular, last time I checked.
