I don’t get it either. What is the panic? What do they think they will need it all for? Our stores are cleaned out and we don’t have a single case in our county or the two surrounding counties. And no cases in the next state!

This is why:

Media hype.

There have been a few instances at a few wear house stores (Georgia I believe) where skirmishes have occurred.I saw a video of two guys hitting each other with wine bottles! One was taken away on a stretcher!😳
Here ,in my area there are police present outside of the Sams Clubs now probably to diffuse any potential fights.Seriously people!🤨

Life is so Fragile…we need to accept that we don’t know everything…we need to hope for the best and prepare for the worst…it is important to be positive and take care of yourself both mentally and physically…remain vigilant, calm, and level-headed, and follow recommendations from the experts…our perspective is the most powerful thing you can control in a situation that is beyond your control. This is the psychological way to handle our present condition…Spiritually, I pray my Rosary every morning…go for a morning walk in nature with my pup, pray so more, observe the beautiful sky, thank God for everything in my life…and do Pray again that I don’t get the Coronavirus because being elderly, and a risk…

It is amzing how something so small can be so powerful. Kind of like the Kingfom of God in reverse. So small it is invisible. And during Lent, of all times. A time of sacrifice and penance. I think God is doing us a favor. Six months from new we may be a different planet, a more caring and integrated planet.

This might sound contrary.
A certain percentage of doctors and nurses should be reserved and protected from the frontline of the war. These should be especially the cream. We will need them in the aftermath.

And just maybe we, as a nation, will stop depending so heavily on foreign adversaries to supply our basic needs. Start providing for ourselves, again.

Globalists will hate it, but this virus proves we need to be self sufficient with critical needs.

And while they may cost more, they may also be of better quality, which would make the extra cost worthwhile.

More from local Farmers’ Markets. Less highly processed food like substances.

Of course a real concern is the growing wealth disparity. Those most impacted are in service and cannot work from home.

I was increasingly alarmed by the number of food products from around the globe especially from China. I refuse to buy anything but food grown in the USA.

I was not happy when China bought Smithfield.

I literally cringe whenever I see the words "made in China"

On a lighter note…we live in a subdivision and rarely see people outside… 😬, but with the current situation…our neighborhood came to life! There are people walking, bicycling, and running! 😆

They say our regional parks are crowded. My 80 year old friends are out running around to the stores. No wonder it is spreading. I don’t think many are taking this
seriously.

I just came back from a run to the grocery store. Bread, milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt and fresh baked good are plentiful. Cereal, paper products, meats and cleaning products are pretty thin. A lot of bare shelves. Customer traffic seems back to normal for a Monday afternoon.

I really wish it became ‘cool’ for people to wear masks. Even a DIY mask can greatly reduce the transmission rate, and stop an outbreak.

This research is based on influenza, but it is relevant. If 80% were wearing some sort of mask, it eliminates the outbreak. Sorta like a quarantine without the quarantine.
It was found that a 50% compliance in donning the device resulted in a significant (at least 50% prevalence and 20% cumulative incidence) reduction in risk for fitted and unfitted N95 respirators, high‐filtration surgical masks, and both low‐filtration and high‐filtration pediatric masks. An 80% compliance rate essentially eliminated the influenza outbreak.

I saw a guy wearing a red bandana over his mouth the other day. His girlfriend was wearing a regular medical mask.

Some have committed robberies wearing the medical masks. I would recommend
the guy in the red bandana not walk into a banks!!!

At first they said wearing the mask was not going to help you, but would keep you
from coughing germs on others.

Then I read they recommended we wear masks.
